Love Ya sisters ya gotta look up Hebrew Israelites IUIC Classroom has a lot of historical, Geographical & Biblical info on our history & why we went into slavery & the prime focus of our condition today 🕎✊🏾✡️ Even Kendrick on his song Yah said he considered himself a Israelite ✡️✊🏾🕎
i know one the girls who danced in this music video, so happy for her. i was so hyped to see all of these dancers from the LA street dance scene too. also that dance style is called clowning, not krumping. however krumping came from clowning. just wanted to throw some education since im a dancer myself. love y'all's reaction
As a ginger dork that ended up in sylmar juvie as a kid and would train dogs at Compton High. Though I’m not in Cali now this is a hard W for the west coast and black culture and real hip hop culture. Edit: u literally said my comment pretty much as I was typing 💜
Kawhi's Leonard's chilling in Costa Rica, if he was still in California and been on that stage with Russ and DeMar I'm sure Drake would've been found on the toilet like Elvis.
Yall only reason I’m coming back to this video that I’ve watched already is because, yall reaction actually looked fucking genuine ! 😂😂 yall vibing the exact way we were when we first slapped this video . Ive tried watching all these other reaction videos yesterday and today but tell me why the fuck you can just tell they’ve seen it already! And the reactions are just forced at that point. You can’t watch this video and be hyped the fuck up! As yall are! And I was with my homies and then try to record and repeat the same energy and emotions! In my opinion if you are gonna make reaction videos, especially for a moment this fucking huge keep it the fuck genuine! Yall vibe was so dope and a spitting image of how most reacted when watching this for the first time! 😂😂 and with the bleezy! Yee! Sharing this video for sure! 😂😂
I’ve watched hundreds of reactions to this and y’all the first reactors that said Whitney was “Blood Walking”. Everyone said she was “Crip Walking” but I think you’re right
@whatsthedirt breakdowns of all the diss tricks are intricate. I think you’d like reacting to them & I know we would like those too. His breakdown of this is going to snatch so many views.
I like your thoughts at the end of the first run-through about the song not being for everyone. The song is, you're absolutely right, for the Black community and more specifically the west coast. I studied Black Caribbean and African literature, rap is a really important continuation of the traditions of (primarily) west African Bantu poetry and music. I think I would go further and suggest that there is a pan-African vibe to this track too. To call Drake a colonizer would *also* imply that he's engaging in the extractive imperialism of Europe, given how Drake talks about "tings" and seems to think he's also from London (and by extension is Nigerian) I think this song goes deeper into the roots while still being distinctly Compton.
Think about how women are portrayed in Drake videos vs the 3 women they focused on in this video, the 2 girls dancing and his wife. Reppin the culture and not a single ass was shook or twerked😂 not saying that stuff bad but I love seeing sistas dance and do their thing in a positive way M
Certified Murkying . Certified slap down . Certified beat down. Certified nailing. A teachable Certified humble moment!!!!!! Now drake fans, sit down and be humble.
`Whitney was wearing a wife beater ......also there's a FAN spinning above them while they are dancing and he says "he a fan he a fan he a fan" All the shipping containers have CB1 on it (Cell Block 1)... and the 10 when hes doing hopscotch stands for 1-2-3-4-5 + 5 aswel as the obviously childrens game the shot with the owl alone is crazy ; the symbolism in that single shot is mad, Owls are predators who eat other animals for food , He caged a predator , the owl is looking at kendrick being "Free" From its POV , from Kendricks POV the owl is in jail , is he saying drake belongs in jail . also the owl is bowing down while kendrick is walking away . the whole damn shot is so multi layered Also the hand dance hes doign during the pushup scene is a refrence to a viral tiktok dance drake did with a 17 year old
Good for the west coast for having something to represent. It's been so long haha I am by chicagoland, so after Pop Smoke and Von passing is nice to see kendrick speak what alot of us feel... Drake is weird
yeah i get yall so much. with everything he says in the song the "not like us" its meant not only for drake but obviously to white ppl too. i mean he's reclaiming the glory and the place of black ppl in history (which this will 100% go down on). im white, i like this song a LOT but im not about to start vibing to it and singing "they not like us" in the street when im literally white like wtf. its not a song for me and some white folks really dont get that (as always)
Thank Y’all Fa Lettin These Mfs Know This Is A Nigga Song 😂👌🏿💯 Love Y’all Energy Cuz I Be The Same Way Every Damn Time I Hear It Even When I’m Workin Out Lol
That’s not the point of the song at all…smh. Mf’er screaming unity at the top of his lungs and your first comment is let’s talk about how we can lean tribal with this…people are broken.
Let them sing it, don't call it a black song... All of Kendrick songs are black, but people all over the world love this song... Drake USES the culture when he wants to, but acts white/small hat when he wants to... Kinda like tyla Even Eminem eas played at the Pop Out
“Kinda Like Tyla” you don’t even know wtf you’re talking about. And using Eminem as proof that it’s for everyone is insane. Kendrick made it VERY CLEAR when he said “let me break it down it’s the REAL nigga challenge” then HE WENT ON within this song to explain COLONIZATION of BLACK people… he literally addressed slavery… He’s not talking about anyone who isn’t BLACK, or ISN’T from COMPTON. Simple as that.
