7:41 I feel what you’re saying on this 💯. If anything, that makes K-dot more admirable in my eyes because it humanizes him. Especially when so many people tend to put public figures on a pedestal, not only because of what they choose to rap about (glamorizing -romanticizing certain aspects of the industry/certain lifestyles) but also acting as if they’re not flawed in some way, shape, or form. 7:52 With that being said and making a reference to TTC (Tyler) as a small example , I’ve heard soooooooo many people complain about how long the track “Wilshire” is on the CMIYGL album , when in actuality it SHOULD be appreciated not only for considering his boundaries about privacy which is highly understandable, but because it was quite authentic and expressed vulnerability in a sense , allowing listeners into a smidget of his reality at some point in his life. Even the sound as he himself describes is on the spot recorded w/no edit. Genuinely , authentically , and unapologetically himself 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽. So in that regard I can see why he would encourage self reflection when it comes to Kendrick being expressive in that sense as well. So yeah … all in all, Kendrick is highly valued …. HIGHLY 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 and should be appreciated for his MANY contributions to the community, encouraging others to authentically be themselves as well as break the chains of generational curses ⛓️💥. Great reaction and analysis as always Isaiah.
Really wish I could go back to my first few months of listening to this album when it released. That album really helped me through some things. I dont miss what I went through. However, those few months of listening to the album felt really special.
