Kengan Ashura - Fighter Tier List 

After listening to the opinions of most of the viewers and based on the content within Kengan Omega, I re-produced a Tier list. Hoping maybe haruo would lose some weight in omega and get his true power back, what a missed opportunity

Raian is S tier 100%. if any1 reads Kengan omega, he will understand. truly a monster.

I feel that Waka is easy S, even after all the shit Julius and Murder Man put him through, he still tanked a Demons Bane, and managed to get up and keep fighting

I feel like you based this too much on strength and missed out on some other factors. Cosmo Imao there is NO WAY he is a C tier fighter. He didnt win because of luck. He won because he realized what he was missing in fights. That makes him stronger than Akoya probably

I feel like people really don't give Okubo enough credit. Sure he lost at the start, but it was against Agito after all, and it's not like he didn't do any damage to him either. I really hope they let Okubo shine in Omega. His fighting style is way too good to just go to waste

People are talking about this guy should be this and that, while i was like kazuo yamashita should be SSS+ Tier or a tear itself

I heavily dislike how much you lowballed Setsuna, he literally fully landed one attack on Gensai during their bout and literally took his arm. Gensai was struggling and had to get rid of an arm to defeat Setsuna. I can see Setsuna taking down somebody like Julius without much difficulty simply due to rakshahas palm, that attack is pretty much like a one shot and combined with niko style it’s just overkill. The reason why I say he could probably defeat Julius with not much difficulty is because of his size and his speed, he is pretty tough but against something like Rakshahas palm would just make it easier to land, and if he uses fallen angel which amps his speed I definitely see Setsuna being able to blitz him.

Kengan ashura: is pretty realistic with real fighting styles, strength of characters, and reproductions for actions, Baki: jumping 3 stories with ease, taking down entire governments armies by yourself with just the human body, be able to break metal and stone with ease, if a character breaks every bone in their body they’ll be fine in a day and can still move normal like nothing happen

I think that Saw Paing should be mid B-tier, it's not just his bone density, he also has stronger muscles than a normal human, due to the rigidity of his bones, his muscles can have a better "grip" on his skeletal frame causing his muscular strength to be on par with base level Raian. Who is already leagues stronger (raw strength) than a normal athletic human (this was stated by Tokita Niko's "phantom" during Ohma vs Raian) before the "Removal" transformation. Let's not forget that he fractured Rei's arm with just 2 normal hits.

Now imagine how much closer Kuroki and Kanoh's fight would've been if Kanoh didn't have that lag that Kuroki exploited.

Saw paing is "lethwei" Fighter. "Lethwei" is very different from "Muay Thai". muay thai is famous for its "art of eight limb". different from Lethwei. lethwei is famous for the "art of nine limb". in Lethwei you can headbutting your opponent's head. very different from muay thai, where headbutting the opponent's head is strictly prohibited

Cosmo should be higher, his technique is so superb. Lol

Wakatsuki is S Tier. I don't see how it's possible to look at his feats and conclude otherwise. Should slot him in right under Ohma, and even then it's debatable which of the two is superior.

setsuna definitely A tier..kuroki said himself only i can stop him as his techniques are too powerful for normal humans..hes also described as a monster

i dunno, man. i feel like you seriously underestimated a lot of these characters but mainly rihito, sekibayashi, cosmo, saw paing, setsuna, okubo and rei who i don’t even like. lmao

Rihito climbed up to B or A tier now, he's the embodiment of hardwork

Masaki and setsuna should be higher, especially Masaki who stomps basically everyone who hasn't got extreme technique or killer moves. So should cosmo

Honestly, I feel like Adam Dudley should be at least D tier, maybe C. Honestly, a lot of E guys deserve more credit, like Kaneda and especially Meguro Masaki. Not only is he literally build like Brock Lesnar, but he has superhuman back/core and leg strength to lift himself from a prone position by his toes ALONE (which is quite literally impossible), when he weighs around 290 pounds and can send people flying with his punches due to his insane back strength, which again, is bloody ridiculous. Like, had this been a real person, he would've been the strongest (or one of the strongest) MMA fighters in the world, and even in the Kengan world, he is no slouch. In his imaginary fight, Ohma couldn't break through his defenses with power alone and had to rely on using his strength against him, which speaks a lot, considering just how inhumanly strong Ohma is. And Ohma is fucking broken.

Wakatsuki desresves to be in s tier.

Wakatsuki- Over 300 official kengan match wins, literal superman that managed to overpower Reinhart who in terms of raw muscle power is probably the strongest kengan fighter we know of, and completely dominated and overwhelmed S rank Ohma ("if my adamantine kata is a 10 his punch is a 50") their entire fight but lost in the end to the strongest technique of all, plot armor. If having three times as many wins as Fang "the king" and notoriously obliterating once in a lifetime legendary fighters and martial artists who had the misfortune of having to face you in their first official debut match and immediately ending their entire career prematurely doesn't qualify as S tier, then no one does.

Finally, someone who appreciates Mokichi Robinson. I mostly agree with your list, but i would bump Gozo and Meguro up a tier. I see both of them as capable enough to stand with rest of the D tier. Most importantly though, if you're ranking them by their strongest, i would put Kiryu in A tier. While Wakatsuki and Julius might not be massively threatened by Rakshasa's Palm, i can see him giving rest of a tier a great fight - even Raian. Completely serious Kuroki, s tier of the s tier, had to risk a gamble to secure a win against him. He's creating techniques on the fly, and Fallen Demon is busted and counters most strikers, like Gaolang.Keep in mind that in his fight with Ohma he was just after close to death injuries inflicted by Kuroki, was more mentally unstable than ever before AND he was additionally injured by armed bodyguards.

I think setsuna at least need to be an A tier. Causes ohma and setsuna have same power.. setsuna know niko style, know advance like ohma, and he knows other technique that ohma not know. Its only my Guess

Raian should be on S tier cus he fight Ohma only Removal, he didn't use Kure Techniques to enjoy his battle with him

Hold on a minute, Saw Paing uses Lethwei. Which is similiar to muay thai, but different in that it encourages people to headbutt each other, hence its nickname "the art of 9 limbs." Not to mention his skeleton is significantly stronger as well, while not as strong as his skull, it still is impressive. An the fact that his is the only person Gaolong wasn't able to knock out speaks volumes of his skills and hardness.

If dumbell girls was included Machio would just flex everyone to death.

Kiryu Setsuna is obviously in tier A

I just started watching fight clips of this anime and I was surprised when you said only 1 fighter actually died. Each defeated character looked like they died 10 times over before the match was even over.

I can totally see what you where going for with this list, you put a lot of value in raw physical strength, but that's not the same as a fighters ability. cosmo is pretty broken in ashura, okubo is also way above his ranking here, I would in fact put him on par with gaolang and believe they could both be a tier. Ryan is another interesting one, cause we now know, he is a better fighter than ohma, not by much, but he can win in their matchup, and we just saw him decimate a pretty strong dude with minimal effort, someone who even had more physical strength than him with his kure techniques, so I would say he belongs in S, but of course, if he refuses to use techniques like he did in ashura, then he is correctly placed at A, but not because of his physical limitations, he is one of the top dogs in that regard. then I would have to say, ohma by the end was amazingly strong, but I would 100% put him below ryan and kuroki, so sadly, I don't think he quite reaches S tier. basically, no one should bother you for thinking this is the correct estimation, like, it's a fictional anime, but I feel you personally have too much focus on size and raw physical strength, wich is a lot more important in real life, but in manga, where they have abilities like the zone, the blast core, the niko style, etc, etc. a lot more goes into a fighter. like, rei lost to kuroki, he lost to the beard, but he seemed busted af, so i'm pretty sure he is stronger than what you give him credit for. in kengan, a light weight can abolutely decimate a heavy weight, just look at omega and misasa.

Raian is S tier . He never fought he's opponents seriously

I'm pretty sure that Cosmo is more powerfull. Is true that he didn't reach Akoya's reaction and Kaneda's foresight, but having at least both abilities (not mastered yet) makes him strong. In fact, he defeat Okubo in a practice match, so I think he is in A or B tier. Ryan is stronger than Ohma, but in Kengan Ashura he didn't use any technique, so I think is suitable in the A tier. I'm pretty sure that Sawpaing use Lethwei, not Muay Tai or Taekwondo.

You probably should've put Cosmo higher considering he has his own version of Kuroki's foresight, albeit far less refined. Also it was stated very early on that heavyweights don't give him much trouble alongside him having a large amount of experience fighting and winning against them.

I feel like rei gets underestimated a lot because of the whole simp joke thing but that guy was a straight monster he definitely belongs in at least A tier

I need my boy Rihito to get some W's in the future. He's one of my favorite characters but the poor bastard's treated like a punching bag. And also, his match in Omega was such nonsense, "yeah fam it's okay to use poisons but don't ring out okay"

In Omega this is definitely changed since so many top tier characters were introduced like Lolong and Jurota and old ones improved like Raian and Julius. But also I would put Mokichi higher since he beat base form Raian with ease. Also Meguro should be higher on the list since he is a beast. At the age of 13 he killed 4 Master Judokai. It is an insult to put him below Sawada and Lihito. He belongs at least in C. Since he is durable and strong. Also with his Judo he can kill a lot of people. The only ones who are able to beat Meguro are ones who can kill people. Like Raian, Akoya and Muteba. Since it is not exactly easy to beat him. He needs to be killed. Like Sawadas endless kick did not do anything to Meguro. If Meguro could tank Sawadas kick for long enough to grab him then it is game over. He almost beat Muteba as well so he is not weak. Also I feel like Murobuchi Gozo could beat Inaba for few reasons: There is not many fighter who could tank the flying knee and also his immense strength. Inabas main weapon is his hair and like the fight with Ohma; Murobuchi could rip Inabas hair. Inaba is strong against people who can't rip his hair but weak against ones that can. Like Murobuchi.

Wakatsuki in A tier. Cut the crap out... He deserved to be in S tier

Nezu was undefeated Bishamon Champ with a good physique and powerful kicks. Rei was just a big mismatch since only the S Tier know the Raishin Style certain and maybe some of the A Tier Fighters. Nezu should at least be E Tier or even C Tier

I wish to see Setsuna fight more. He just had that match with Ren and move on vs kuroki in 2nd round whom the overall winner of the tournament. But after the match Setsuna's woke and walk away in Kuroki and everyone's surprise that they thought he's been pierced in the heart and killed him. Imo he's an A class tier.

To be fair meguro had the worst match up possible. He could kill most c tier figthers but he faced a master in the art of killing

I would put Harou in high E tier, Gozo in Low D, Meguro in Mid D, Robinson in high D, Okubo in high C, Akoya in High C, Cosmo in B and Setsuna in A. For the rest, great tier list

Im sorry but Raian is easily S tier. He lost to Ohma, because he didn't use the Kurei moves. I would like to add. Removal can be used like advance, Raian can use 100% if he lowers it , he can extend the time. Plus Raian can easily maintain his sanity at 100%. All that limits him is his attitude. Plus u are clearly underestimating Okubu, u forgot to mention his ability to create combinations of martial arts incredibly fast.

Fish guy should be C tier, they said no normal man could defeat him he just had to fight lethwei, he could one shot if his attack on nape lands, it's a gg

I just finished the manga yesterday, it really is one of the best manga that I've ever read so far. The intensity, the thrill, the artstyle, the quality of the fight, the unpredictability, really amazed me.

Gaolang is definitely S tier. The only fight seems unfair to me is his lose against Fang

This video is 2 years old, but i just gotta say nezu is the most underrated character in all of kengan, he’s the champion of bishamon(3rd largest underground tournament) he’s 7’3 making him the tallest fighter. He’s stated by other characters to be very strong, which is impressive considering he’s also one of the youngest fighters aswell, if he is ever given his chance to shine in omega, I think he’d be a solid B-tier if not low A

I can’t agree wit Cos placement u can’t put him below someone he defeated at their full strength especially cause he’s a side character 🤷🏾‍♂️💯

the docter should be higher because his opponent was the counter to him and was still able to stand his own for a bit so i think he should b tier because of his swords and ability to disable his opponents

Hanafusa should surely be higher as he beat Bando, who is in B tier? And same with Cosmo. If one fighter has beaten another, surely you cannot still call them worse than that fighter? For example if Ali beat Foreman, You can no longer say Ali is worse than Foreman. And if Foreman had won, you couldn't have called him worse than Ali (but ofc Foreman lost, just a hypothetical)

Cosmo has to be A cause that man is a total beast, and he is only 19. And Ohma is obviously S because when he transform he’s a monster, it’s just when he transformed it ain’t effect Raina tho.

Adam dudley is very strong, without martial art he did well against cosmo

Nezu Masami, one of my personal favorites was used to highlight Rei Mikazuchi’s speed with an instant K.O. He had an awesome design, wholesome motivation to win the tournament, and deserved a proper fight for the sake of Mockey in Destinyland.

This is almost same list as ones , I see all over blogs. Very good choices.

I would argue a little more for raian. In the fight the fang states how raian hadn’t used any Kure techniques. He finally does removal but other than that in his fight with ohma was a brawler. Then (SPOILER ALERT) it is revealed in kengen omega that ohma and raian have fought a lot more since their first fight, with raian winning more of them.

If we are talking about Omega tier list, Rihito at least deserves low C tier, he beat an almost fully recovered Mokichi Robinson and only lost his match to Falcon because of the poison, making it an extreme mismatch for him. Also the Omega version of Raian definitely is S tier, we saw him use actual Kure techniques and one-shot Alan easily.

Setsuna deserves better. I personally believe the Rakshas palm can might have beaten Kanoh Agito, it's just his misfortune that he caught Gensai

For me, I think ranking of fighters will depend because Kenganverse considers not only fighting styles but also personality, experiences, and luck (since any character can lose or die if they make silly mistakes.) I will list Gensai, Agito, and Raian (he should have zero problems winning Ohma he doesn't exhaust himself by messing around) as three S-tier fighters, and Julius, Takeshi, Kaolan as the 3 top A-tier fighters. Ohma is an S-tier fighter in Omega but I will consider him an upper B-tier fighter in Ashura. He won Raian because of Raian's immaturity; he won Takeshi is like 10% skill, 10% will power, and 80% luck.

I feel bad for Nezu, he didn't get enough screentime.

Does anyone know if this is just Kengan Ashura or the next series as well. Because if this is the first series only both Julius and Wakatsuki could beat Kure Raian. Also Raian's overall abilities were superior to Wakatsuki not his strength, plus with his brute force fighting style he would be in trouble. Overall you changed my opinion of some fighters,. tbh I think Chiba should be ranked higher it was his pride and confidence that made him lost his fight against sen if he avoided using any akido move he would have easily won that fight. even in omega if you look closely he still has the same problem when fighting Kiohzan he tried using a Sumo move against him leading to his lost (if you look at the fight Chiba grabbed Kiohzan's Mawashi which again is a sumo technique that move cost him said fight)he is at least at C tier but he can definitely beat other higher ranked fighters above his rank if he just stop being over confident and not use the same style as his opponents.

3rd round Imai at C-tier is absolutely insane. Okubo got Agito to use his berserk mode and to adapt twice b efore he got defeated, and is implied to be stronger than 3rd round Imai. Muteba with eyes was arguably on the winner end against Wakatsuki. All 3 should without a doubt be A-tier

In terms of RAW strength for example lifting contest here are the top 5 of them: 1. Julius Reinhold 2. Takeshi Wakatsuki 3. Raian Kure 4. Haruo Kono 5. Jun Sekibayashi

I think you underrated cosmo because you said he only made it to the third round by luck this is not true in the middle of the second fight he changed his fighting style because he knew he couldn't win that way and he learned fire sight in order to fight ohma
