The hip thrust is actually how you're taught to escape mount. No freaky shit there. The thrust usually just pushes them higher on your torso making it easy to bridge, grab the hips when their hands hit the mat, and roll over into their gaurd.

The CGI in Kengan Ashura is honestly much better than the thousands of other anime that were drawn and animated by hand. In my opinion, if this anime couldn't make you like CGI, then no other anime in the world will be able to do this.

Kaneda is my favourite dude in this show. Everybody else enters the tournament because they think they're tough shit, the strongest, "superhuman" or other bullshit like that. Kaneda knows he's a weak noodle who's gonna get pummeled, and said "alright, gimme that pummeling", then managed to get one of the least one-sided matches of the first round against a dude who is probably third strongest in the tournament. I got nothing but respect for that dude

Really hope they animate Kengan Omega in the future. Also love how the anime gives each fighter their own entrance theme. Seriously, these songs are *FIRE* and introduced to some new bands I enjoy!

The Kengan series is some of the best work, not just in the fighting genre, but in manga/anime period. The story, the characters, the action, all are amazing
