KENNEDY MEADOWS: How to catch 100 trout in one day 

Just got back from there last week. Do exactly what’s in the video and you should crush it!

@@mattdelatorre1018 you can use spinners if you want but you don’t catch nearly as much. Honestly if you aren’t going to do salmon eggs I would do some fly fishing. Kennedy meadows especially is good for fly fishing if you go up the horse trail to the meadow

Smoke was definitely there. That was the week it was ashy down here in Modesto. Luckily it was to bad. Yeah the water is low low!! Haven’t seen it that low in a long time! Makes it easy to fish though

Yes they will. A lot of people typically do flys, eggs or power bait so in our experience a spinner will work quite well. Clarks for bridge if they are loaded under it you’ll crush the bigger trout. If you go over the pass to the walker river you’ll get 2-3lbers on spinners.

@@gervaseoutdoors6072 Thank you..I have always been partial to a very light gold Panther Martin or Kastmaster, mostly because I'm old and bored with bait. :)

@@markketello5757 if you go to one of our older trout videos titled 250+ trout in one day towards the end where my nephew is fishing you’ll see he was using a spinner and he was killing it.

We don’t hunt bears but we have been way to close to some monsters in the past 😂. Had a huge one 10 yards from me on one hunting spot and my dad had one climb his tree stand. Another one chased his buddy while his buddy was running to him 😂.

@@gervaseoutdoors6072 yeah , I was hiking up the side of the mountain to get a picture of Kennedy Lake from high above it . I got to a flat spot where it looked like a good spot for my tri pod but as soon as I stopped I felt eyes on me . I turned around and this bear must have weighed 5 or 6 hundred pounds he was huge belly hanging down to the ground . He just looked at me like ( ur in the wrong place buddy ) I slowly went back down the mountain to change my pants

@@librasky hahah we all have some humbling moments up in the woods 😂. Bears that come in to camp I have no problem getting within 10 feet of them and yelling at them to get them away. The bears out in the woods where no one is at is a different story 😂. Those bears look at you funny

@@gervaseoutdoors6072 I have seen lots of bears , but they are always small This was the first huge one I have seen out there

@@librasky oh the big ones are definitely out there. That’s the crazy part we aren’t typically known for big bears up by Kennedy but every once in a while you stumble upon one and it really opens yours eyes as to how big these dang things get.

All at Walmart- green label salmon eggs. If the bite is good just use 1-2 eggs. If it’s tough put 3 eggs on. Red hooks. Use the clamp on weights. Faster the current the more you need to put on. Just enough where the bait is moving down the river but not getting snagged every cast. Double trilene knot for the hook is what I use. Not a drop setup.

@@gervaseoutdoors6072 I’m just getting reacquainted with fishing after a several decades hiatus, so a lot of the jargon & equipment is esoteric to me.

@@marcoaguiar1131 no worries you’ll see the green cap salmon eggs they are the only green cap salmon eggs in the store. The weights look like pac-man they will be in the same isle. Just get the small and medium ones no need for the bigger ones. The double trilene knot you can just RU-vid a video or just use any knot you like to tie up. I haven’t been up this year to the river so I have no idea how the bite is but I hope you have some fun
