Dude, big thanks for being polite and cool to the service rep. Customer service folks take a lot of abuse, so it's always good if someone's nice to them.
Your right. Half of his salary goes to his mother. He wouldn’t be able to afford it. And besides, why does he need a car that transforms him into Superman when he can just go into an alley?
You're awesome for dialing the number and then more awesome for actually going through with the call. I didn't actually think you would do it; was waiting for you to hang up, but nope! The whole video was fun and entertaining. Thanks again, Brad!
My version of this was the earlier Bruce Wayne Custom Coupe from the _Batman Returns_ line. You remember that bit in the film where Bruce is cruising along and his car transforms into a missile-firing Batmobile, right? And yes, I quickly lost one of the two missiles.
I always figured this as more of Lois car, especially the animated recolor since it was red like her car in the show. Makes sense she would have a flying weaponized car all the trouble she gets intoSupes has to routinly save her from
I’d assume that the robots in the Fortress of Solitude could 3-D print a sports car or a spacecraft on demand! This coupe also might be a sort of modern day Supermobile, just minus the waldoes (or perhaps the arms are folded securely in a section we otherwise are not aware of). So in the DC universe, it might not be so bizarre that Clark might have such a car and might have need of this, if Clark had issues with kryptonite or injury...but Perry White or the DC version of Carl Kolchak might get suspicious! And come and think of it, the IRS, too.... 😸 Cool review!
Best review ever! I really want to track down this thing because I've never owned a proper Clark Kent figure. I had the quick change Superman from the animated series line and I have the changing Superman from the Superman Returns line. I wish I jumped on this line more and sent away for the Super Powers CK. Good stuff.
I really like the kenner wave what a good time to be a DC fan i had some but not all i have the GL, Superboy and superman, the car is nice wish i had that one.
I really dig the Clark figure and the car. The gimmick's hilarious, especially wondering how he handles that the news might see his license plates, but maybe this goes into space, in which case it probably doesn't matter.
Hope you do get the opportunity pf getting the pack - have no doibts the review will be great. I don't think there will be a chance we will get it in New Zealand for the retail price. Thankyou for the entertaing videos.
Yep, they used the Batman one twice, once for animated and once for Batman Returns, and the Superman car twice too. Once for the Animated series and once for this action figure line. Gotta squeeze the max outta them moulds. Lol.
Between the Custom Coupe and Matrix Conversion Coupe, you have both Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent and they both can transform into Batman and Superman respectively.
Hey Brad, was it you that I saw had a Superman figure where the plastic had discoloured in some parts and gone a slightly green-ish tint? I recently picked up a DCSH Superman incredibly cheap because it had exactly that kind of discolouration and I today I decided to try hydrogen peroxide which I've used before to restore discoloured games consoles and computers. After 2-3 hours in the sun he looked perfect. So if you did have a figure like that, just coat him in some hydrogen peroxide gel, wrap him in cling-film and leave him in direct sunlight for a few hours. Hope that helps!
Wow. Dude, I never knew that. I do have an old ToyBiz Supes like that. Also there about a zillion Super Powers Superman figures that care all discoloured like that. Thanks for the tip. 🙂
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek No problem. It might not always work, it depends on the kind of plastic, but if the figure is in poor condition anyway it's worth a try! If I recall it's bromide in the plastic that's to blame but the combination of the chemicals and UV light react to put it back to the original colour.
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek Oh, just wanted to let you know as well - although the blue was restored the red of the cape was seriously faded and I couldn't seem to do anything about it. Since the figure didn't cost me much I decided to replace the cape and he became my first attempt at a cape tuck. I followed your video and it looks great! Not something I'd do for all my figures, I'm not a big customiser, but if I ever come across any more figures with trashed capes it gives me an option. So big thanks for the video you did on cape tucks that gave me the confidence to attempt it!
Brad you should own a hobby knife for your reviews 🤔...while it seems and at times it is fun to have some figures, vehicles, playsets, etc ripped out of their cardboard prison sometimes the joke/gag doesn't work 😑 so please have a hobby knife, wire cutter/plastic nippers(for zip ties) for them 😁...all of them are cheap on Amazon and you do the "please have an adult do this" since kids watch this type of content(you'd be surprised at the stats since the accounts seem to be adults but in reality it the contrary 😒) and you'd want to cover all of your bases just incase with a statement like the one quoted before 😊. I don't mean to sound like I'm chastising, complaining or commanding you to do this😔 but it's a friendly suggestion that can make your vids great as I said for some and not all of them, hope this is something you would consider☺...besides the Goo-Be-Gone 😓 on the canopy LoL great review 😉👍 P.s. Can't believe you called the Hasbro consumer line 😳🤯, since remember that the Kenner/Tonka line became theirs after the acquisition in the 90's 😋
Julio Cesar Sarmiento No worries. I appreciate the advice and time it took to write this comment. I do have a blade that I use to open things as well as snips that have made many appearances in my vids. You have likely just missed them. I wasn’t worried about the little bit of damage I did to this one. Sometimes I am. To be honest I just wasn’t expecting the tape to be so unforgiving with this one. The GooGone was a bad choice though, I’ll admit. Didn’t know it would do that. Yikes!
@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek oh boy, my apologies Brad 😔..I did missed the vids that contained the blade, sorry about that...I'm glad you replied because with out that I wouldn't have looked/ remember that you do own one 😊...I guess I jumped the shark too early 😋 but I do hope you keep us super friends amused as always with your videos since so little content is devoted to DC and the majority is to Marvel Legends. While Legends is a cool line and all I feel DC deserves the same level of respect but many rather berate anything about it than praise it...I believe that this is why Mattel didn't pursue the license as they did in the past, I hope MacFarlane has a thick skin not just for us fan but for the haters too 🤞...anyway I've veered of topic, thanks for the reply, your hard work and all you do for the DC squad Brad I appreciate it a lot...thanks 😉👍
, The mullet long hair thing was not a 90s thing that's why the superman mullet was a laughing stock When it was done ... I think it was just the hair cut the isolated comic artist and writers had at the time Or the fans that attended come back then.😁😁😁
My brother had a big mullet in 1991. Maybe you’re right actually. The mullet might have actually been out of style by 1993. By 1999 when the final Hasbro JLA figures were being released it was waaaaaay out. If these figures are 1995/96 his hair was definitely no cool anymore. Lol.
This seems to be more of a Batman thing, anyone ever wonders does Batman really changed in public to his batsuit? And I know there is the iconic shirt rip, but where does Clark hide his cape, his shirt will look overstuffed
