there were hot debate of whether he is a good jazz musician, most people would agree he is skilled at saxophonist, he still practices 3-4 hours every day. christinalz.co...
By any chance, do you have any footage from Kenny's show there in April 2012? My Grandma were on a vacation and we went to see him there. My Grandma was in a wheelchair and Kenny serenaded her while he was in the audience. I have been searching for any video and pictures that may have been taken.
Hmm, 12 years ago? I deeply wish someone has it and can share with you, blessings for your grandmother Pin this comment for you, so wish someone see it and can share with you
Kenny G is a SUPREMELY talented musician whose artistry comes through in the way he plays the saxophone. He was SO AMAZING the very first time I heard him and his band at the Sunrise Musical Theatre in Sunrise, FL. Seeing him play amongst the audience without needing security right next to him is so AWESOME and those long notes... woaaahhhhhh!! Even his band mates are AMAZINGLY talented people!! I don't try to fit ANY musician and their music into a box. Instead I choose to enjoy the artist & their music. Thank you Christina Lz Art for sharing this video, I hope this concert was a GREAT start to your New Year!! ❤❤❤
So pleased you love Kenny and his extraordinary performance with our band. Thankful to the audience and all those who made it possible at Dimitrou. Love him.❤🎉
Actually it was Clive Davis who said that, not Kenny. Kenny really does not label his music, but it is actually instrumental pop. He learned from playing jazz tunes when he was young. HIS music is instrumental pop. The cover songs he plays is different.
Not so…the industry and its pundits and radio back in the day coined his music as “smooth jazz”….he never claimed to be or to write jazz…that said in response to people such as your self or the Methenys of the world bought in so he simply delves into mainstream jazz to simply show he can play jazz when challenged to do so…but his original tracks and hits were never claimed to be jazz be him….so let it go and just accept that he’s sold more units and has more fans worldwide than any of the “jazz” greats….he’s phenomenon and his banks account proves it…jazz snobs deserve to have to eat his trail of success and live with it …losers
