Two of the greatest artists of the 70’s and 80’s. Great singers and songwriters. This is an inspirational song that always gets me fired up! They used to play this for the NCAA Final Four basketball tourney to get people hyped for the final games in this epic tourney. “For once in your life. Here’s your miracle. THIS IS IT! Stand up and Fight”
I hope you know how much you lift people sometimes. I’ve not long got back from a Christmas meal with friends which came to an abrupt end when one was taken very poorly, very quickly and we had to call an ambulance. She’s now been taken to hospital with a suspected stroke or mild heart attack (we think she’ll be alright). So….I got home feeling physically and emotionally exhausted and you’re just the tonic I needed to lift my spirits. Much love ❤️
I'm glad you've found my suggestion, even though it was so recent. Listen to my other suggestions for Michael McDonald and you won't go wrong. MM sings back up on this cut and co-wrote it with Kenny. For more great Kenny Loggins listen to "Heart To Heart", "Heartlight", "Whenever I Call you Friend", his giant hit "Footloose", his sweet "Return To Pooh Corner", and his duet with Jim Messina "Your Mama Don't Dance".
This actually came out in the States in Oct '79 (close enough). I was a 20 year old gay boy (who looked like a soft 14 year old) living in a row house on Capital Hill in Washington DC. My roomies were 4 militant separatist lesbians....and me. The arrangement ended after about 6 months when we all sobered up enough, one day, for them to realize that I was a boy and got kicked out. But this song would get played over and over again in the house while we all danced and sang to it. Btw, we all remained on good terms, it's just that a boy in a separatist house really fucked with their reputation. Love your channel, my friend.
Probably the greatest writer and performer of movie soundtrack bangers ever! Kenny Loggins is a fantastic blue eyed soul singer/songwriter deep hole to go down! And of course with Michael McDonald is a powerful combo!
Absolutely love that every single reaction is based on what you feel. Thank you for the 3rd play, the song deserves it, and we definitely want to see reconsider wearing pants 🤣🤣🤣 Great choices for each decade, and can't wait to see what's next!!!!
If only we could bottle up that energy of yours, so infectious! I haven't heard this song in ages! Kenny's a prolific songwriter, a huge catalog, but check out the duet he did with Stevie Nicks "Whenever I Call You Friend"!
HAHAHAHAHA -This made me choke on my coffee. I’m 💀 If you’re trolling Hector, big up. I read your comment just as he was calling it the sexiest song ever. Thanks for choking me. I needed a throat clearing exercise. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
4:08 TOTALLY get where you’re coming from! It reminds me of the beginning of Michael Jackson’s song Why and also George Michael’s song Fastlove, which by the way sampled a song called Forget Me Nots by Patrice Rushon (1982 if you want to react to it), which was also sampled by Will Smith in Men In Black.
FANTASTIC song, absolute fire! I have clear memories of singing my heart out to this song while riding down the street in my town! The collab between Kenny and Michael is just too freakin' good! I have this album, "Keep the Fire", and it is killer! Not a speck of cereal!! Loved this reaction! Watched the whole thing twice!👍✌
My girlfriend and I slow danced to this song. I know what you mean about that feeling in the lower regions! LOL This is such a phenomenal song. Thanks for this trip through the 80s. Been a great ride.
I remember when this song started playing on the radio. Part of its attraction was its uniqueness. It didn't sound like other songs. It didn't have any familiar patterns. It also put you in a really good mood, especially on a sunny day, after high school, driving home on country roads.
Great job!! You did well on a little bit of 80s tunes. You might want to do another week just to show how all the music made a turn before the computer took over. Hair bands then the techo took over . The 80s was a major transitions to what the 90s produced. I love what your doing!!! Don't stop what your doing just give the 80s a little more credit. LOVE YOU MAN!! KEEP IT UP!! I'M WATCHING YOU BROTHER!!!
Oh, and if you want some more sexy music, add Kenny Rogers - Lady to your 1990s playlist and D’Angelo - Untitled (How Does It Feel? to your 2000s playlist 🥵😉
Hey Hector!!! I'm on a plane to Seattle! Saved the last few reactions just for this flight. You should see the looks I'm getting lol. I'm just enjoying myself!!!💜💜💜🤗🤗🤗 Another great pick!
Michael McDonald’s voice starts at the bridge”you say that maybe it’s over…” and the chorus. They have similar tambours or tones so they sound awesome together.
Kenny Loggins is probably most famous for “Footloose “! So check it out , both song and movie. You always make me smile❤️Keep up the good work. Happy Holidays and keep smiling angel❤️❤️❤️
Love Michael and Kenny! I have seen Michael in concert several times. He was amazing. Wish I could have seen Kenny but I think he is no longer touring. This was written for Kenny’s dad when he was diagnosed with cancer I believe.
Had to squeeze my nipples!!! Just Awesome H. There's more Kenny Loggins from the '70s when he was part of Loggins&Messina, a bit more folksie music but really good stuff...check them out next '70s week!!❤
Love the Kenny Loggins! I suppose you know his big hits from 80s films: “I’m Alright” from Caddyshack, “Footloose” from Footloose, & “Danger Zone” from Top Gun! So I’m going to suggest the 90s tunes I think are essential for reacting to the 90s. But it’s possible you already know them. So I will add another or two or three other big songs by the act. These other tracks are great ones too! The most important song of the 90s, it changed the rock world. If by some chance you don’t know this song I strongly encourage you to do it. Also the video is as important as the music. I will always remember my first time seeing it. It mesmerized me. I was disappointed with most of the music until that and it convinced me rock was back. Of course I mean “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana. Alternatively, if you know it, try “Lithium,” or “Something In The Way” or “In Bloom.” The other great artist is Radiohead. This song exploded on us rockers. It’s “Creep.” If you know it try “High and Dry” or “Exit Music (From a Film.)” Then there’s the great Canadian band I already told you about, the Tragically Hip. Their big hit in 1994 was “Ahead By A Century.” But others are “Grace, too,” or “Courage,” or “Gift Shop.”
This is a beautiful song. I love Michael McDonald and Kenny. ❤ Put these songs on your list..."White Lightning and Wine," "Sing Child," "Cook with Fire" by Heart. Be careful you might die.🤣🥰🥰🥰 I didn't mean to reply to myself. I was trying to add to my previous comment. Can you please read my reply to me below.❤Thanks Mark❤
Kenny has so many beauties. "DANNY'S SONG" is one that will wreck you worse than that Bee Gees song by Robin. Kenny wrote it for his brother who just had a baby boy. It's effing gorgeous. ❤Loved this reaction ❤❤
We’re LoL’ing cuz you made no reference to Michael McDonalds sing bits or even that you recognized him in the music. (Not a criticism just an observation) Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction tho. 😃😃
