I remember when i first heard about Kenny Omega years ago. I was told he is the best wrestler on the planet and that he's the next big thing in the industry. I looked up some clips of him and was wowed by the matches. Then i found a promo and went in thinking surely this guy is going to cut a Rock or Stone Cold level promo because of how everyone is talking about him, and what i heard was the worst promo ive ever heard in my entire life. I immediately said this guy will never be a mount rushmore talent, and he's not.

I watched it live and it was fucking awful yea, with the report coming out now that Omega will be indefinitely out of action and was dealing with diverticulitis this night I'm actually surprised he even showed up let alone try and cut a live promo so I will give him a PASS on this, in general Omega is not a good promo and I already knew this, his promos when he was champion were pretty hit or miss but atleast he was a heel and had Don Callis to play off of.

It kinda breaks my heart how bad things have gotten over the last two years. It seems like they just keep constantly taking steps back while wwe continuously gains momentum. I am glad AEW has served as a means of competition to force wwe to really improve the quality of the product, but I really don't want it to just end there. They have everything necessary to produce a great show but they keep pumping out crap.

Hey bro kind of random but just curious if you're at all familiar with John Flickinger with "The flick pick" channel. He does movie talk and used to do movie reviews - he was also a complete meat head from like 2013-2017 (he went on the sauce for a few of those years clearly but always denies it). My point is, it's funny when you come across a RU-vidr with some shared interests be it movies or the gym or just views on society and life etc. and then as time goes by they drop hints here and there about being closet wrestling fans and you're like "I wonder how that works" finding someone you resonate with on RU-vid personality wise, humor wise and in terms of hobbies and then lo and behold they're into wrestling, just like me. Hmmm... Kind of funny how that works sometimes. Sometimes we can be like "I'm kind of a freaking weirdo with a strange unusual mix of hobbies and interests" but then occasionally find some people online with a strangely similar outlook on life and similar semi-niche interests as yourself, can be nice. He has become increasingly open about his wrestling interest, as has you over the last few years. Cool to see man, I know it's one of those largely frowned upon misunderstood genres of entertainment. I'm not all that into it compared to 2005-2014 back then I was super into it and even went to wrestling school and worked out largely to become a WWE superstar one day and shit. Now it's just something I keep up with to a degree sort of in the background and then around Mania time and Summerslam time I pay more attention and feel more excited, feeling like a wide eyed teenager again for a little while super enthusiastic about it for a few weeks or something but 10 months of the year I just keep a general eye on things and watch some old school nostalgic clips here and there and some podcasts, shoot interviews, a bit of backstage rumors and so on.

Everyone sucked don’t go blaming Omega every single one of their promos sucked and Kenny isn’t bad on the mic he’s not the greatest but he’s not terrible it’s just this one was really bad on all their parts
