Kenny Ortega announces the cancellation of Julie and the Phantoms 

They definitely should of renewed this. Not only was the storyline catching, the songs were absolutely amazing. Netflix made a very huge massive mistake cancelling this xxx

Cancelling this show is one of the stupidest thing Netflix has done…they give shows that nobody watches another season but cancels one we do watch and it was on a CLIFFHANGER

My biggest issue is that it doesn’t make any sense. They had kids books created based around the show, they won daytime Emmy’s, every single song on Spotify had 10mil+ listens with over 1mil listeners a month overall. There has to be something they’re not telling us.

Netflix should bring back Julie and the phantoms. So heartbroken that one of my favorite shows cancelled.

My daughter and I loved this show so much because we lost her mom so it resonated with us so much. If enough fans made noise then another network could bring the show back like they did with One day at a time and other shows that came back after being cancelled.

Why are they even cancelling this show, it is so good. The ratings from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and the fanbase proves that it is a well written show that should be renewed. This is what I am really hating about the entertain industry now. Where they are cancelling great content too soon and renewing terrible content for no good reason whatsoever. JATP is way better than a lot of the other Netflix movies and shows that has been put out by Netflix that for some reason, remain in production. Kissing Booth, After, To All the Boys I love and so on can take a back seat to Julie and the Phantoms. I'd sooner watch JATP over the dumpster pile of shows on cable now these days. I'm writing Netflix a letter. I don't care about who picks up the show, I just want someone who knows what they are doing to do so. Netflix made a big mistake. They pick up shows that aren't even good and milk it for all that it's worth only to give us unsatisfying endings. Julie and The Phantoms is a show that in a long time actually made me feel connected to the characters. They were real, they are real to me. And I bet to a lot of you as well. I'm going to tell you one thing, I don't stand for this. If Netflix doesn't want the show, then they should at least give it a chance with someone who does want it. And I've sat on the sidelines may times before watching shows that deserve so much more then what they got be taken for granted. Not this time. I'm ready to fight this time. And no one will tell me not to. This show means a lot to us. Let's show them how much it means to us.

Everyday I would go on the internet and see if season 2 was announced. A few days ago, when I checked instead of a confirmation, there were posts on it being cancelled. My heart broke. There were a few shows that I loved so much I've watched it a million times and Julie and the Phantoms was one of them. I cried so much. Today, I rewatched it again but this time, knowing that there is no season 2. I had so much Hope's for it. Julie and Luke could have got to together. More songs for me to listen to on my daily playlist. I hope that more of you can relate.

Julie and the Phantoms should have never been cancelled. It brought more music into my life and made me follow my dreams of being in a band and more. So many people love this show and it was such pain to see that Is was cancelled.

Why would they do such a thing it was a good show no one seems to complain about anything it was just so good people need encore for another season.

I watched every episode while I was recovering from surgery complications, happy crying and gushing at the cute moments brought me great comfort. I ADORED THIS SHOW. Damn it Netflix :/

I am a very new viewer if JATP and I regret not finding this gem sooner. But I already watched and rewatched it like 3 times in 3 days. It was an excellent show with incredible performances and heart and soul poured in to it by its creators such as Kenny Ortega. I loved chemistry between the main casts and the music.. I must the best I have heard in a while and it diversified in all 9 episodes. My favourite song while it was the shortest of them all its called I believe the "Perfect Harmony". I would have loved to see more of Luke and Julie and the growth of their relationship but I came across this tragic news of cancellation after wondering around on internet. It is unfair to lose Julie and the Phantoms after only one season while so many subpar shows are getting renewed. I hope another streaming service provides a second life to it as it deserves.

i think netflix made a really bad move with this one, not just because i like it but in general. literally look at all of these comments, probably on some side of twitter too. people don't want the show cancelled, it's such a good show and we all know that season two had SO much potential for free writing because they left us on a cliffhanger. i don't even know why they're still making the hype house show, so many less people like them nowadays. they probably are only continuing the hype house show cuz it WAS popular, but now it isn't as much. we don't see all the news about the hype house anymore cuz in the media right now its not hype. Julie and the Phantoms was released a year ago, and it still has hype, people rewatching the show (including me) and making edits and fanart on tiktok. i genuinely think they should've cancelled hype house's production, not as many people would be upset as the people that are upset about Julie and the Phantoms. Really hope this show gets picked up by a different tv source like One Day At A Time did. Suupperrr unhappy with netflix right now.

Im a 32 year old woman, with anxiety and depression. Struggling to have a child and lost so many people in 2020 and it was really hard for me to cope. I lost the will to sing literally and I had so many questions it felt like I wasn't living at all. When JATP came out, something in me lit up. I relate very well to what the characters went through, especially when they all found something that made them feel alive again. JATP made me feel alive again. I couldn't count the number of times I had to repeat it while going through the motions of life, it helped me cope, and it inspired me to sing again. I was able to write songs again and I got myself a new instrument to play. JATP inspired me and showed me that there's so much more than what I was going through, that hope is very much alive even in the time of grief. When I heard that Netflix dropped them like a hot potato, it felt like a part of my lifeline was ripped off. I understand that Netflix is all about business and I am but a small voice, but then, if this show gives light to those who've been in the dark for so long, why cut off that source from those who also pay for their subscription? Idk how Netflix came up w the decision, all I knew is that when JATP came out, a lot have come forward to say that this show was what kept them going and it was a beautiful respite from all the things going wrong in the world esp at that very moment.

Someone needs to explain to me how this makes sense, Julie and the Phantoms has a strong audience following, great ratings, has received multiple awards and nominations, and Netflix can make extra money off music sales and they still canceled it. Renewing that show should have been a no-brainer. Meanwhile we're on season two of Emily in Paris, why?

Hear me out, I am very sad, I don't usually get interested in shows, so the fact that this show is getting cancelled is very upsetting, but at the same time, I'm not surprised. Like I'm pretty sure we all saw this comming, but even though I saw this comming from a mile away, I still had hope that they would make a season two.
