Jaby saying that Indian social and political situation is just like his country USA is nothing but him being ungrateful to his country USA, even after being the 1% of the world. Like any comedian can make jokes on Biden and Trump, Republican or Democrats there is no problem, there is no backlash by the law enforcement. National anthem is an issue in India...I have no problem for standing for national anthem...everyone should...but making it mandatory in movie theaters is not right thinking. If this is to be accepted, then it should also be played before every Parliament session, every court before they start proceedings, every public institutions and so on...singling out theaters is pure hypocrisy.

Well firstly before watching the video, I thought of checking the comment section and then I found few Indians explaining why they don't want to stand whenever national anthem is played and I respect your decisions but personally I don't think standing for few seconds is that big deal. Also,you shouldn't stand because you have to but it should come from your heart. I feel so superior,powerful and proud whenever I sing the national anthem and Idk why but it just happens :)

The primary reason for Kenny to select this subject - "not to joke" about politicians is because of an incident happened with AIB comedians event - roast. Which featured couple of Bollywood celebrities as well and the heat came from politicians on the comedian. They were protested across the nation, in front of their homes, boycotted from doing any stand up comedy (in short - destructed their career for a while) And surprisingly, the celebrities who were also part of the roast, didn't get the heat. Their movies were released normally. (one of them was lead actor of Padmavat-i). Since you research well about subjects you react to, I thought of Sharing this with you. The content of this video came through that pain of a colleague - which becomes more understandable, relatable.. Good work buddy, love your channel.. 😀🤗

The video referred to standing up in Cinema Halls ... pls be informed this is mentioned in the order from Supreme Court in 2016 in Petition by Shyam Narayan Chouksey vs Union of India (d) All the cinema halls in India shall play the National Anthem before the feature film starts and all present in the hall are obliged to stand up to show respect to the National Anthem and has been notified by the Ministry of Home Affairs thereafter

Do what shows respect to your motherland even if it 2 mins of you standing at a cinema hall or respecting your country when you’re out of India.. See my point is , Nobody expects chivalry, but we see it as a good man’s sign.. In the same way we can’t expect people to do stuff coz there are lot of a-holes around.. we can only do our bit for this motherland.. Obviously standing for our anthem is mandatory by law even for a-holes.. So they need to do it even if not happy

Ya I don't think it's a law either. And why is that such an issue, I wonder if people from other countries think of whether they should stand up for the National anthem at all! I get that people getting violent with people who don't stand up is a little extreme. I also get that legally regulating comedy would be extreme but personally I think when people start using comedy to express their political leanings it stops being comedy.. anyway that's individual, why not just let comedians do what they want. People that like their humour can enjoy it and if you don't, leave a dislike or maybe even report the video if it's that bad, let corporations like RU-vid decide whether it's ok or not..

When we are in school everyday in the morning we used stand n sing our national anthem. We never really questioned it. What I fail to understand is why there is an objection when a little reminder of the same thing is given whenever u are in a place with ur family n friends occasionally.

The "national anthem" thing, you don't really get arrested because the Supreme Court passed a law stating that you don't need to do that. But you get severely heckled, even physically, by fellow audience members for not doing so.

Yes we do stand during National Anthem in the theatre..it's just a rule not a law. The reason because is India is such a diverse nation with different cultures, religion, languages etc so to unite them this is a place where every sector of people gathers. So when they stand up together for the National Anthem. It's just for the reminder that We all are one. A Symbol of UNITY!!

Everyone has free will and opinion and in my opinion. Playing national anthem just before a movie is not actually that bad thing. I mean we all are busy in our day to day life home to office n office to home, then why we can't stand for just 52 seconds for our national anthem it's the symbol of unity for our divers country. We only go once or twice for a movie in a month, so what's the big deal to give a minute or two for our national anthem. Thanks for reading have a nice day.
