The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band closed their concert with Kenny letting go on guitar as they perform a cover of the Jimi Hendrix Experience song Voodoo Child (Slight Return) at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on February 6, 2024. Voodoo Child (Slight Return) was written by Jimi Hendrix and was the fourth track (called Voodoo Chile) and third single from Electric Ladyland, the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in October 1968. It was released as a single after Jimi's death, and it became his only number one single on the UK Single Chart. Kenny Wayne Sherherd covered Voodoo Child (Slight Return), as the B-side of his hit single Blue on Black, released in April 1998.
