Everyones praising the players but I gotta say THANK YOU to the man or woman or who ever took these videos! Great quality and angle! And so much video coming out consistently. Thanks a bunch
You can tell who his influences are. SRV and jimmi Hendrix. Combination between the two. Don't forget Kenny Wayne is still young. Good things will follow.
He's been playing the same shit for 25 years. Hasn't evolved at all. Still copying SRV. Never created his own identity. It's time to get off Stevie's grave.
Because the industry rewards originality. I like Kenny too but he would do well to compose his own songs over doing covers. The man has mad skills no doubt.
Janet Thanks i really appreciate, i will like to get to know a true fan much better so if you dont mind kindly inbox me your digit so i can text you and get to know a true fan much better. kennywayneshepherd47@gmail.com
Kenny is still one of the greatest blues rock players around...he seems to be always left out of the conversation but I still say he is up there with anybody on the scene today...🎸🎸🎸
Jeff Newberry KWV is a GOD of wood. He could play a rusty string muddy Peavey AT-200 and make it sound like whatever muse inspired Hendrix was a crack whore.
Thank God for KWS.. he keeps the memory of SRV and of course J.H. alive and really well then kicks ass on his Own adding to an already classic blues song Thank YOU KWS
Kenny is one wicked guitarist. I have his live in Chicago and its awesome. The whole band is great. Vocals and musicianship is off the charts incredible.
@@radio7353 And you know what? I happened to watch this video again, and just noticed how ironic that you use precious word 'artist' to refer to that kid. Artists praise originality.

Thank you for uploading this great video! Nicely shot for sure! I can definitely appreciate Kenny more now than when he first came out in the 90's. Don't get me wrong he was a great player then but he's matured and I think he found more his voice now which of course channels his influences from SRV and Hendrix. It's great he's carrying the torch by paying homage to these two awesome guitar heroes!! Great job, well done Kenny!!
Jimi's music is timeless like himself. He came down from heaven and showed the people what to do with that instrument. I can imagine the audience hearing this song for the first time back in the 60s ... MUST HAVE BEEN A BIG MTF SHOCK FOR HUMAN MINDS !!!
Have seen KWS Band many many times. My Favorite live band, my favorite live singer and my favorite live guitar player. They are aways crazy entertaining.
Fantastic performance - I've seen KWS three times - keeping up with him from his debut in the mid 1990s through the early 2000's. He still has the goods.
Anyone realize Kenny is playing this upside down.. jimmy was left handed playing a right handed guitar up-sided! Quite Amazing.. people! Plus he put the guitar behind him. Which was probably a tribute to jimmy! Think about it! An amazing man! Great artist 🇺🇸
There are a couple of fantastic acoustic versions on RU-vid that are more creative. I bet KWS made more money off of Voodoo Chile than Jimi Hendrix did. SRV 's version is a masterpiece because of SRV's unique style. If you want to jam on Voodoo Chile, tune down a half step, add some fuzz, and have fun in the Em pentatonic.
Max Wiseman Personally, I think SRV version is better than JMH if you had heard them back to back and never heard the song before, even Gary Moore which I’m not a fan of in anyway, his version (live) comes in second to SRV followed by JMH running a cool 3rd, this KWS version isn’t bad, but it’s like most versions it’s just their version... These are my opinions only and your rights to comment are most welcome as you may know another version by a someone who’s not as famous or famous that betters...!!

Stevei Ray Vaughan has been the Man since I first heard him, that was reinforced when I saw him at the ElMocambo first tour ever preforming in Canada. Nobody has ever shown me that they are anywhere near as good as him..Pure and raw talent. When I saw I'm perform Voodoo Chile that one incredible night I was done. Meeting SRv and Dt upstairs after the show, seeing what a super personable guy he was just convinced me that I was in the midst of what was going to be an Icon and a legend. I was right. Now let me say about KWS that this rendition was something I was hoping would not be good because I am so Loyal to Stevie, but I have to say Bravo Kenny, Bravo.. you would make Stevie and Jimi both proud. You took something so amazing and difficult to perform but still stuck to the tradition of the sound. I really enjoyed it. I would have preferred not to hear the overindulgent ending but that's showbiz. overall I would grade this performance a solid 8.5 out of 10.
@@electric8668 That's not a proper comparison. Give Gary Moore 13 gauge strings, high action on his strat and see if he can play with the speed, precision and intensity SRV played with. Then again, there's a grace to Gary Moore's playing that can't be replicated by just anyone. There have been many to try to play like Gary, but there's only one Gary Moore. They're two very different players with very different styles. You can't call one better than the other. Sure you can prefer one to the other, but there are just too many variables. If you're gonna focus on one specific aspect, it would be an easier comparison. But overall? Not possible
@@meisterjubjub7606 Gary Moore could play with as much power as SRV but could also play a wider variety of styles than SRV ever showed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VVOwCBScxw0.html
@@electric8668 That's not for you to say. SRV was KNOWN for his strength and intensity. If you have Gary Moore the same conditions and he produced the same results, you then you could say so. Otherwise, that's false. Also, SRV played a lot more genres than blues. It's a huge difference in playing. If you still can't accept the fact they're different players, how about you try to shit on a legend where the original comment was supposed to praise SRV in the first place? Save that for a place of negativity. No need to crash the party by saying so and so is better when you really wouldn't know since they've never played together
