Dude your first Silly Goobers Guide is one of my favorite videos. The advanced options section where you say “if you want a slow game, leave these alone. *close to mic* if you want a NORMAL game. You go ahead and bring those bad boys up to two” makes me laugh every time. Glad to see a new guide out!
I'm a Kenshi veteran, I only stay for the vibes. Man, your series of Lean beane and Espher is peak content in this plataform. I vote for TRUTH, i was very happy with the ending. Keep doing it dude
One of the few small content creators who deliver with their heart and that series is one of the best in gaming since, gaming started and that's including all the negative.
@@MartyrDumb No experience was quite like seeing an incoming Prayer Day blip just, vanish off the map, and knowing exactly what happened to them. That doesn't happen anymore but back in The Day(tm), it was considered Holy Nation territory if you built a base in it, akin to how Raptor Island is now... Or was it just a bandit raid? It's been awhile.
@@fang4223 I remember one time I played with high spawning unknowingly and there was a war of like 100 paladins a thousand fogmen and my shek reinforcement horde, it was madness for weeks outside my gates.
Huge fan of the audio gags done in this one with the panning and volume. I have to say, since I watched the Lean Beane series, whenever I play Kenshi I imagine they all talk in that text to speech you use, that's probably my favorite thing about your Kenshi videos. The base design is interesting, when I build I typically stay away from roads because I found it leading to issues with people either phasing through walls or other general jank, but I like the Okran's Shield vibe. Excellent video as always!
That Julian has me thinking of a Trailer Park Boys season; The boys in the world of Kenshi, devising a plan to smuggle Ricky's hashish while Emperor Lahey harasses them. Culminating in a fight with Samlon The Caveman. It's all coming together, I can see it clear as day. All gaffs aside, very great video! As useful as your previous guide, and I appreciate the honest approach free from more cheesy exploits!
thank god you posted again. i was just banging my head against my desk last night until you saved me from the Kenshi torture which so happens to be the most fun ive had in a while
Great content. Your videos actually convinced me to give game a try. Providing the guidance to core type experience without spoilers or excessive minmaxing is appreciated.
That canceling mining job advice couldn't have come at a better moment, as I was preparing for departure canceling my mining jobs the hard way at the very moment you gave the advice xD
ngl even tho i have like 400 hours in kenshi probably gonna use this video as a easy way to remind myself how to do things in kenshi (like exact amount of martials) probably gonna share this in to a few mates who are also making kenshi vids just in case
You sound like general sam for some reason. And you have amazing style and puns, I love this channel. 3clicksphilip used yo be my sleeping friend, now its you.
The dr pepper beans have the same energy as the cheetos mac and cheese i found, which shamefully made the best goddamn tuna mac and cheese ive ever experienced
Oh hey my latest base is in that same spot in Shem near the swamp. Get two biomes and raiders have to contend with my moat. Very nice. Ooh, intellectual beans for the chosen ones!
I just found your channel yesterday and binged all your Kenshi content already. The Lean Beane series was great. I was wondering if you’d make more, so surprised to see a video today! I love it
Very happy you uploaded another video. Great addition to your Silly-Goober-Guide video. The review of the can of beans was special. Haha. This was a nice surprise today. Thank you for helping me cope. Hope you have plenty of fun with Dragon's Dogma 2.
As a silly goober myself who, despite having put over 400 hours into the game, still struggles to get a propper base up and running in most runs, these guides are a godsend. Keep up the great work!
Pretty sure these are the best Kenshi videos and I don't need to watch them all to know that. Thanks dude, you're pretty cool. Edit: Also great music taste :)
Bro, thats one of the best kenshi videos I've ever seen and I've seen a lot! Now I can't imagine a massive combat without some good ol' rock-'n'-roll. It's very interesting to see a base build from a scratch. I'm more of a "buy a big house in Mourn, power up the drills and grind" type of guy, so it was incredibly helpful.
Tip for everybody building next to a town: Press Shift-f12 to check out if your outpost border overlaps with the town. If it does, it will bug the hell out of a lot of things going on in the city and your base. In this case, look up how to relocate your base center in the Shift-F12 menu, if you want to preserve the savegame without removing your base entirely.
Man, I love your kenshi videos, the editing and the tips, everything is very good, I hope to have more guides in the future, and are you going to make dragon's dogma content? I've already secured mine too and I'm waiting for this masterpiece.
I should have seen this video sooner. Started as a slave in Rebirth, ran to Upper Bone to build my first camp. Lost so many people and limbs to the break things.
24:00 just a little point from my experience on this topic I built next to the settled nomads in shem. I built walls as close as I could to the blue area. Apon reload I noticed I could build closer to the town then I could before. However. I'm not sure when it happen or how to fix it. But the walls closest to the town *became* part of the town. Still *owned* by me but part of the "settled nomads" village. This makes it so you can't deconstruct them. So be warned when using this trick....
Thanks for this guide man I really enjoyed it, my condolences on what's happening with Dragon's Dogma 2 I hope even under all the scum of microtransactions and bad performance is a good game
1st run, settled in the spider plains with like 4 goobers, 15 building materials, 10 iron plates and a dream Weeks later leader boi was still doing food fetch runs to Last Stand MANY weeks later leader boi was STILL choking the tavern keep on bandit planks in exchange for all the meat he could scrape from his dry barrels. Sheck food racket? HAH! Jokes on you we run occasional starvation as a community sport, have fun eating rocks cause we ate your fort's food supply five days ago :D
About the toughness training. A method that i also found reliable without altering the squads spawn rate is going to one of those Dust Bandit camps, also found in Skinners Roam. You run straight into their camp and get knocked out. Then it gets interesting. Once you try getting up, one of the bandits will immediately get aggroed on you, which results in you passing out and playing dead again. So you can get up basically every 5 seconds and constantly get XP. Its pretty broken, you can get your characters to around 80 Toughness with a bit of patience.
I love your videos. Simple, comedic, and effective.... .... Now do a run down of the major factions. 😶🔫 Or I'll send the black dragon ninjas to dab away with your bread baskets.
Truth is, 3/4 dudes collecting copper at 3/4 different mines at the hub with about to 3/4 copper storage in 2 small buildings or one larger building with 3/4 and room for t2 bench will quite literally pay for everything without an issue
Oh no. You waiting on dragons dogma :( Im back to watch your second video and will give my same little live comment chain with replies about notable thoughts
Thanks I spent forever assembling it the mod that adds the PC and tv screens comes from the. -Office Furniture EN Patch The one with the nice rugs and other stuff is from the. -Cozy Furniture Mostly everything else including the big house can be found in the base files using F+12.
Better Economy has Tech Hunter building material shops (like the ones at Waystations) have a small chance to stock red papers/science books. I try to not cheese the fuck out of it, but I allow myself 3 engies: one for heavy armor, the others for Skeleton beds because I hate having to pay 2k for wear repairs.
What l hate about kenshi base building is that it essentially grinds character progression to a halt. Which is fine tbh, l enjoy the quiet life (with dozens of turrets), but eventually after 20+ recruits the game just crashes non stop, and it's annoying as shit how patching also bugs and you have to reboot the game every 20 or so minutes
Something you didn't bring up in the video that might be helpful to new players is that if you are hostile to either the Holy Nation or the United Cites it's probably not a good idea to build a base until the endgame unless you build very very far away from the faction that is hostile to you. When you are hostile to a major faction they will raid your base and possibly take it over. You won't be able to win some of these raid events without high end (or cheesy) defenses, or endgame characters. In the case that you are hostile to a major faction it's probably better to live in a city until you are strong enough to stand up to them.
its from the dragons dogma online ost, I thought it was called "arisen's room" but I cannot seem to find it but the whole soundtrack is pretty cool if you want to check it out.
i did it once on purpose. walled off all couple of paths and made a gate where there isnt a path. ai raids just stood there for a while and give up eventually.
Banger bro, Just got into kenshi in mid april thanks to the sale and i've been addicted. Love the videos and how you dont spoil much, also good vibes and music. Thanks for these dawg!
