2:45 The mighty Kenshiro has fallen to a simple T-Pose. This video is proof that the T-Pose is the ultimate weapon. As not even Ken could take on it's glorious power.
Kenshiro is an extremely literate man, yet he has never actually opened a book, because he doesn't have to. He just points at the book and says "You are already read."
Also keep in mind, that during the fight, Souther was able to strike Kenshiro with his Kyokusei Juji-ken without Kenshiro being aware of it. At this point in the series, Souther was easily equal to, if not above Kenshiro in speed and skill.
Toki while sick was strong enough to beat Souther. In the original anime he shows a worried and concerned look when Toki volunteers to step up and fight him after saying he knew his secret. When Ken found out, Souther still wasn't afraid, yet he showed concern when Toki said the same thing.
Also, Toki only lacked the strength to hit Raoh's pressure points, due to Raoh's massive strength, toughness, and body, even after pushing the pressure point to increase his strength and use Raoh's style. However, he was able to easily hit Kenshiro's pressure points at his normal strength. Toki was not afraid to fight Souther in the series, knowing he could probably kill him, since he knew he was going to die himself anyway, surviving wouldn't have mattered to him.
Toki’s matter is a lot more complicated because he is supposed to be the true successor of HK, but his illness took him to another path. Moreover, While Toki was in his healthy shape before the nuclear war, Raoh was looking at him as the only equal and opponent, not Kenshiro. But what happened is that Ruyken has forseen Toki’s destiny as it was mentioned in the series which led him to displace Toki from the succession of HK and made him look to the other two brothers and which one is more worthy than the other. Therefore, he put them in Tiger’s test and you of course already know the outcome of it.
Yes, it was. Souther was voiced by Banjo Ginga! That guy's like the Japanese version of James Earl Jones, a voice just doesn't get any deeper than that...
If you've seen Ten no Haoh, Raoh and Souther stop their fight because they know one or both of them will die. Raoh is still physically stronger than Kenshiro at this point, and official material states on a scale of 1 to 5, Raoh is a 5, and Kenshiro is a 4 (only area Ken is not a 5.) Raoh's style of Hokuto Shinken is called Gou no Ken, which relies on his brute strength to overwhelm, as opposed to Toki whose Ju no Ken uses the opponent's force against them.
@Brandon5l9 It's from a 5-part movie series titled True Savior Legend. Films 1, 3, & 5 were theatrical features and 2 & 4 were direct to video. This is from the 1st one. They're pretty much a reboot closer to the manga but also include a lot of new material. Happy viewing!
@Suzumushi100 It's stated to hit all over the body, striking multiple points at once. The closest we've gotten to a barrage to a single spot is Hokuto Juu Hazan, which is how he killed Mr. Heart. So it's either Hyaretsu Ken or Zankai Ken: Zankai strikes both sides of the opponent's skull, so it doesn't matter if they're reversed. I'm pretty sure that they did something like this fight to show how dangerous Souther was, but if you think about it, Ken has a ton of moves that'd work on him.
ken's techniques didnt work at the time cause he didnt knew what souther's secret was, but he then knew that his secret was that southers heart is on the right side of his body meaning that all his vital signs are reversed
Oh, but it has. There's a Director's Cut version of this movie. Hey Dom, The director's cut has retouched more than 500 cuts (that's about half of the movie). And Raoh's voice was COMPLETELY re-dubbed.
Impressive!!what is it? Is it a remake of the original anime? the graphic style is very similar to Tetsuo Hara's manga and the animations are excellent!
Do you have any suggjestions if I should get it or not? I mean it doesn't say anything about that encoding or anything about region 2. It seems like it will play on my DVD Player. Its just the first Volume though. I wonder if its worth it. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
@PeeZeeDeeZee crystal clear with subtitles from what ive seen. I got epsodes 1-109 which is the Ken, Shin, Raoh era, and im about to watch 109-152 soon, quality seems good so far. And its free. with a good connection should take you about a day or two to download the lot.
@danteindarkness it is, but in movie version. especially for those who are recent fans and cannot see the rest of the original series to see only the imprtant parts
Where can I find the recent 5 part remake and all of the Fist of The Blue Sky? I didn't know they had that much for Fist of The North Star. I only knew of the old series, the movie, dark king, and the new series.
Sorry, what do you mean by 2 tv series? I have the 1986 movie, and I'm planing on getting the New Fist of The North Star series or trilogy as you said it. Is the new series a trilogy or just a series? I did managed to find the first volume of Fist of The Blue Sky on line but only the first volume.
@AureliusMaximus10 southers vital signs are uniquely reversed which took kenshiro a while to figure out and the only one who knew about southers weakness was toki since long ago they used to train when toki was the original successor.
I'm trying to find this Kenshiro video where this guy gets hit in the back with like red lasers, and then he floats in the air and starts making noises like he's constipated. Anybody know?
@PeeZeeDeeZee no, it would take ages to burn them all, but it should work EASY, the file format of the episodes is AVI, which can be burned to disc with 0 issues.
@KrimzonFlygon1 It probably has to hit points in a certain order for it to work. Otherwise anyone could use hokuto shinken randomly. The art comes down to strength, technique and precision
But the intresting thing is, I'm not sure if I could play it. I did find like another season of that 5 part series Fist of The Blue Sky but it said that it was only able to be played by a DVD Player that was from another region, a region 2 and some type of encoding. That meant it has to be played by a DVD Player thats Japanese or something like that. I'm not sure if I should get Fist of The Blue Sky because I'm afraid it won't work but I shouldn't be negative and maybe I should give it a try.
