Ethan this is a horse lovers, dream property, especially the barn area along with the arena. It seems to me it might’ve been a training facility along with a stable facility for people who need to stall their horses, but either way it took a lot of money to build that believe me along with supplying it with the proper things to keep a horse content and healthy. I saw the mats there and those aren’t cheap either but either way whoever had this had a really nice home and property to work with it just breaks my heart, but it is what it is. Thank you for sharing. Take care and be safe.🫶🏻❤️🤠
Loved the barn tour! Very nice facility! Sad to see all the award ribbons discarded. Takes a terrific amount of time and training to win.....in any horse show!!
Derby fans as well as just general horseflesh fans lol. I'm both and that property was probably once so beautiful to see with all of the pastures in place
Hi Ethan, I'm from Maryland/D.C. area but moved to Kentucky 28 years ago. I truly enjoy watching your videos. You've come a long way since you started out posting them 4 or 5 years ago. Your much better at filming the whole house walkthrough now ... sometimes you get a little excited and move quickly and it makes me dizzy! But I wanted to tell you that depending on the layout and size of the house I guess ... that most large rooms that are in the front of the house are called Living rooms and the ones towards the back and off the kitchen area are the Family rooms. And also the chandelier is not always centered in the Dinning room ... its centered over the dining table and where the table sits depends on the size of the room and placement of china cabinets or buffets, and also the access ways. Just want to let you know i've found myself watching your videos over any of the other VO's out there, your doing a great job! My husband has been a builder and developer for the past 40+ years. So I tend to know alot about houses just from being around him. He's like you and can say when a house was built just by looking it ... the floors, ceilings & trim, foundation, brick, stone or tile work etc. I like to test him sometimes when he walks by and i'm watching one of your videos and I ask him what year he thinks the house was built and it normally only takes a second or two and he's normally spot on with the year you say it is!🙂 Keep up the good work and be careful and stay safe!❤
Hi Mimi…Your explanation of the house layout is the exact same as mine. Since you explained arrangements of rooms, I don’t have to. This is a Great piece of property. My husband is also in the building industry and can also pretty much tell the times a home was built…kinda nice to test their knowledge! 😆 LOL 😀
@@sandrabosley8616 That's funny. I've also learned from him that when they build their own house they tend to cut corners and like to rig things ... then years later when things start to go wrong ... they just go and build another house for their self in the back yard! Lol 😏 Luckily one of our 4 boys has gone into the same business and moved back home and is slowly remodeling this big old house after work and on weekends!🙂
@@sandrabosley8616 I didn't think of that ... but he may have. Him and a friend of his had a remodeling business together and would do before and after pictures for their add's. They did really nice work but it all went down hill after his partners dad passed away unexpectedly and it caused stress on his marriage and they split just when they were having a baby. Needless to say they went out of business and my son went to work with his father for a while now he's working for his cousin on a big job rebuilding a college, the campus and dorms ... so he's all good. 🙂
This place is crazy big! They had so much land! They probably had riding lessons as well as maybe contests?? That may be why they had all of those ribbons. What a cool find! Thanks Ethan!
Thanks. Nice tour. Huge facility for dozens of horses. The horse barns is where the money went. They were were well cared for. It certainly could have been leased and used by others after the owners left. Great riding arena. Cool.
Love these older homes, sad to see them go. I always enjoy your videos so very much. Btw, there is a distinction between Living Room & Family Room. The formal living room is generally located in front of the home. This is where one would entertain guests and us more about conversation and interaction. The family room is generally at the back of the home, many times off of the kitchen. This is where the family would hang out and watch tv, play games, etc. Generally a less formal place.
I really loved this one but I also VERY much love horses. That giant training barn was fabulous. I know you said nobody was interested in that sort of thing but YES WE ARE lol. The more barns etc the better. That whole farm was the norm in that the building for the horses training and housing are worth far more than the home for the humans. Those barns were worth a fortune. I hope they are not flattened and at the very least they can let someone come and dismantle it and haul it away. Training schools would give their first born child for all of it. More more more! lol
They had riding lessons there. Its a shame they are going to tear down perfectly good structures and destroy the beautiful land once again for greed and profit. Im so glad I moved from the GTA area.
as someone who lives on a farm in rural ontario, it makes me so mad to see the stupid developers buy so much farmland. Where do they think their food is going to come from if they buy all the land and farmers cant farm anymore🤬
Wouldn’t it be nice to restore this house and divide the property into lots of 3 or 4 acre properties to build moderate sized custom homes all nicely landscaped. I hate the idea of that beautiful open land spoiled with high density townhouses and condos. It’s just pure greed on the part of the developers, bringing ruin to the landscape of the area. That house would have been and still could be quite nice. Nice fireplaces. Nice big rooms. My mind always tries to imagine everything in its day with original furnishings and Also how I would furnish and decorate in a timelessly simply elegant manner. That horse stable with the arena should be brought back to life as a riding academy if I had my way. Too bad it’s the developers way, not mine. Thanks for sharing this really cool property Ethan! Until next time, take care, be well and stay safe!
The front room is the FORMAL living room. The one in the back is the FAMILY room. Don't be so quick to dismiss out buildings, as you found out there can be a lot of stuff inside. Slow your panning down a little it helps us to see what you see. Like your video's keep up the good work 👍
You thought the barns and out buildings would bore us but in my opinion they were pretty cool. Those horse stalls were top notch and the arena was amazing. Such a shame that all will be torn down. Also the house was nice and all the bedrooms looked to be a nice size. Such a waste. ⚜️
Great video again Ethan. I love all aspects of an abandoned properties. Barns can have nothing but sometimes they just surprise you. Keep up your great explores.
Yep, the stables were most likely rented out, probably offered riding lessons; we took my oldest grandkid to a place similar to that. Thanks for another great video.
Wow that is a huge building just for horses this is incredible this is my favorite part and on this big properly I can’t believe my eyes what I just seen
I love the style of this one! The stone and windows and the details throughout are extraordinary! I love the color of the bathtubs! It is true that with just a little TLC this could be fantastic. It is full of potential. Exciting explore🤟✌️
Ethan, Thank You for taking the time to show the inside of out buildings. I enjoy seeing if anything is inside. A lot of times it gives you insight as to the type of people who lived there. The stables are so amazing and in such great condition. It saddens me to see that the time and effort of building them in the end were for naught, only to see them dozed in. 😔 I throughly enjoy your videos. Started watching and following you about a month ago and I have not been disappointed. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to future adventures! Sandy 😊
Hi Ethan. The Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre will come and rescue the turtles if you give them the address. Many species of turtles in Ontario are endangered. The turtles will thank you 🐢❤️
Hey Ethan I love the shirt that goes with the house year! Good thinking! In Michigan we call those Swiss homes! They look like homes in old Switzerland, Idk why but I grew up hearing that lol That’s a nice old home too! We still want to see inside the barns tho 🤣
Wrong, I like to see the outbuildings and stables too! They are all part of the estate. Beautiful stable and riding ring, better than the house in my opinion.
Wow Ethan! That one time an outbuilding tour was not boring. That horse barn/stables and arena was quite unexpected and very nice. That house is s cute, I love the Tudor style. Too bad the basement flooded, even with the power still on. Floating fridge and deep freeze down there, barf. 😂 I wonder if they just sold out and took the money to have a nicer place or went broke having a horse operation, because that’s a sure fire way to go broke. 😂
Hi Ethan Cool video. The horse stable themselves were really big. At least the horses🐎 had good room to move in those stalls. WOW!! That arena was a big surprise. I think all those ribbons that were scattered on the floor were probably given out to people who won prizes in that arena. The ones on the wall were probably won by the owners horses. The house was cool but nothing special. It looks like keeping the power on to keep the basement from flooding didn’t work out to well. Another cool explore Ethan. It certainly was interesting. Keep yourself safe and well.👍🆒🐎🏇🏽
Hi Ethan! Love your videos! Subscribed and left you a nice long good comment! If you are in the US, be aware of the poisonous snakes around ponds and rattlers.under wood! I enjoyed the video of the Titanic owners home! I didn't like the MCM Reno by the lottery winners! Your video was very informative but it's just cold to me, not homey! Thanks for sharing!😊
In the US, the front, more formal living space usually used for visitors is the living room. A living space that is in the back, more casual, for family use is the family room.
Hey there Ethan! What is up! ✌🏼🪞I am late on giving comment here but anyways I do enjoy when you post out video! Please keep up the videos going ok? I enjoy exploring with you in Abandoned homes
How ling has the house been abandoned? It looks like it's holding up well considering environmental changes. Good find!!! Was really nice at one time. Keep these great videos coming! You do a great job!!!
Land even here us worth alot ,more than its house 🏠🏠 thank you Ethan for taking all us on this house adventure ❤❤what a waste of flooring ..i not a huge fan of the kitchens layout .it kinda looks chopped up .This doesn't bore me , actually its alittle of a good game changer
Hi Ethan..another cracking video..👌..the stadium in better condition than the house ...liked the house tho...why would you leave all those hard earned ribbons behind 🤔...thanks Ethan for the tour..stay safe well and happy 💋
You must find a way to do your thing, that pays! You would never work a day. Maybe a Home Inspector, or work for the city as Building Inspector... You sure do good exploring!
I'm sure he's making money with his videos through (Edited) RU-vid and other platforms he uses. That's why it's important to Watch, Like, Comment, Share and most of all Subscribe to his Page. But that's not to say that he could indeed have a career in home building, inspection, design or real estate, etc.😊

If this property was sold why didn't they take all their stuff with them, all those ribbons left behind, doesn't make sense to me. It seems they just left all their rubbish behind for someone else to clean up.
Please don’t go down Death Stairs to show us Basements! It would ruin your day and my day if your friends had to scrape you up from under that Nasty Water! House and Barn both interesting Another fun explore and like you I’m elated when toilet is closed!
