Don't understand why they have to keep using the qualifier "freshman". Reed might be the best player in the country, and the most valuable player in the country - who just happens to also be a freshman.

I am a Zags fan but enjoyed watching this. Kentucky usually has more talent than most teams but they seem selfish and lazy, looking ahead to pro careers. The fans are impossible to please. They are always ready to fire Calipari or any non petfect coach. Many of us enjoyed St Peters out hustling Kentucky.

I get it that his mom was a good player but I don't think he got his vertical jump or his foot speed from his mom. His dad was the NBA player and NCAA tournament MVP. Let's chill with this "he gets it from his mom, he plays like a girl" business.

Yeah he is a perfect mix of how he plays compared to his mom and dad. Jeff Shepard was the NCAA tournament MVP back in 98 and was quick, athletic, and had great instincts. His mom was similar with how well she played with a nose for the ball, Reed Shepard seems like he has some characteristics from both parents, and maybe even better than both.
