This story of my quest for a velvet buck was five years in the making. I have been archery hunting Kentucky public land and finally put myself in a perfect situation to get a shot at a big velvet buck! Thank you for watching!
Outstanding. In one short video you conveyed the very essence of what bow hunting entails. The work, the planning , the self doubt and confusion and then that sudden, short moment when it all comes together and the overwhelming emotion that follows. Thanks for sharing this very personal experience.
Just stumbled across this video and I am glad I did. I have wasted countless hours overthinking my setup and spinning in circles looking at trees. I can totally relate. Great job, love the footage and the reaction. New subscriber
Appreciate that! And I cut all the overthinking out because I didn't want to bore everyone. So yea there's a lot more overthinking that went into this hunt 🤣
I love this video! It has everything you want...a great story. 5 years of hard work and disappointment, but his discipline pushed through and got a buck of a lifetime. Great emotion and camera work!
Mostly why I get tore up. It's all the work that goes into it. If that was my first attempt and that happened I wouldn't have been nearly as pumped. Thanks for watching!
Today is the second day your video showed up on my feed, let me tell you am I glad I decide to click on the video!!! Congrats man!!! Very nice double lung!!
If you like raw emotion (and I do), you have to love this video ! I love thé improvisation on this. No good tree, no good lanes, no good sight lines... and we've all been there to some degree. Yet, Jase makes it work. Great video !
Dude just watched your Hunt! We Bow Hunters understand what goes into it. Congrats and Good Luck in the Future. It's refreshing to watch a genuine reaction to Harvesting a Buck Like That.
Love how you struggled to find a tree and then..........that was smoke city!!!! Friggin guy was huge!!!! Awesome video. Definitely got me to subscribe.
Awesome bro, appreciate your support! The struggle was way worse than I showed. Took me forever to figure out what to do. I knew I wanted to be there just couldn't figure out where to sit. Thanks for watching!
This is what it’s all about, blow this up you don’t need all the fancy things you can step outside the box and bag a trophy I love everything about this
Congrats man Kentucky velvet season is no joke. Hot humid and the mosquitoes. I got mine about a day to late and just had shreds of velvet hanging few years back. Great deer great video.
I've hunted KY my whole life. I am getting pumped about other people coming here to hunt. Especially those that like to go way in deep. That makes my stand 100 yards off the road get run over with deer as yall push em out. Now that was an excellent hunt brotha.
Thank you! I blew several hunts trying to film so I wasn't going to mess this one up! It certainly is tougher trying to film. Just carrying all the crap in is a project. Appreciate ya watching!
Congratulations! AWESOME deer. If you've been doing this for 5 years I'm sure you are confident in your systems buuuut..... when we go out West we hunt miles and miles deep in areas where no vehicles are allowed. No human is man enough to drag a deer that far through that terrain either. And a deer cart is impractical due to the terrain as well. So we bust everything up right there and pack it out in backpacks. Helps to have a good frame pack. Sounds like more work but it's actually way less work and it's my favorite part of the hunt. It's a LOT of fun especially with a buddy to help. Frame pack, pocket knife, game bags, and you're in bidniss buddy! Congrats again!
Thanks Jake! Appreciate that cause I often get made fun of. Lol. But that's ok, I am who I am and the day I stop getting excited will be the day I stop hunting. Thanks bro!
Appreciate that attention to details! I should have told the story about my camo outfit. I went into Odd Lot and they had those pants for $8.88 and were my size! LOL. Couldn't believe it. So I usually wear whatever I can get a good deal on. All of it just rips anyway. Appreciate ya watching!
Watching from Australia 🇦🇺 Well done and congrats on your success. Your emotional reaction is what keeps us out there again and again just keeping it real 👍
Awesome - What a great video - you are right - if you are not a bow hunter you'll ever feel the passion to actually execute what you did in this video! Nothing but a bow hunter understand the many things that must come together to take a buck like you did. One anchor point slightly off, one hanging vine in the way, an unusual movement upon release of the arrow, a buck that completely jumps the bow string, once I was so psyched I could not draw my bow - a killer shot is nothing short of a miracle. Congratulations, and kudos for sharing your passion
Holy crap, that pack out was something! Looking back at it, for as much as it sucked, it will be the most memorable part of the hunt. But I also learned a lot from it and I'll be more prepared next time. Appreciate ya watching!
That there is real hunting! Loved everything about it! Great buck and great story! Nothing worth anything is ever easy. You proved you have to do the hard crazy stuff to achieve success.
Outstanding man. Video really shows what its all about. Kudos to you and those like you that take the extra time and effort to capture it all on camera.
Epic reaction after the shot I know that feeling well....that adrenaline spike really puts lightning in your bones. Beautiful velvet buck my man congrats 👍🦌👍
Great job on the grind!! Finally I appreciate what you said.. a lot of these hunting shows are so focused on footage... when the dust settles its about the hunt. If it's not perfect, deer centered on screen, and then it's a missed opportunity at an animal. I know there's a fine edge that needs to be kept for good footage but.. it's hunting. I want that to never get forgotten to new hunters, it's not moving making. Great job again!!!!!! You deserve the reward from the work
Man, this is very refreshing to read! Really appreciate it! Yea I blew several hunts trying to get perfect video and I'm no longer interested in busting my butt just to blow it. My Iowa video, I didn't get the deer at all on video, but I didn't want to blow it. Really appreciate you writing! Thank you!
