I can't even remember now how I stumbled across your channel, but I just wanted to drop a comment to tell you I have been completely obsessed with watching your videos. I've learned so much about snakes I never knew before, and I find the animals fascinating and oddly soothing to watch. Just wanted to say thank you for what you do, and for sharing this information, often at risk to yourself and for no cost to viewers.

Great to see you doing these videos on the KRZ - they are a great bunch of people. I used to be very afraid of snakes and it is because your videos and the KRZ videos that I no longer have an 'irrational' fear of snakes :)

i agree alot with this guy. how many times have you seen a comment in a video that involved someone working with venemous snakes (many times saving peoples lives by milking snakes) and a comment said "i hope he gets bit". you would be amazed how many times i came across the same comment and how many people liked it because they do not realise or appreciate what he is doing.

@305MiamiCracker He was talking about Calliophus bivergata which is the electric blue coral snake. Small maxillary bones and skulls, along with small smooth scales make it difficult to restrain by hand, therefore very dangerous to forcefeed. Not to mention that I don't believe there is antivenin for that species. Too bad, as they are incredibly beautiful snakes.

You & the people you watched don't have 30 years experience. He milks 500 or more snakes a week for over 30 yrs. I think he knows better how to do it.

I recently watched some other videos of guys milking snakes and this guy was actually very nice to the snake. Way to go Dude!

@BigJT2010 CroFab as well as many others have a 3 yr shelf life. Just because it's expired you never throw it out.

@viperkeeper Theyre trying regulate the sale and possession of exotic and venomous animals. Its not all around a bad thing (prevents people releasing) but there is also talk of the DNR stopping by the house to do check ups on to make sure your preforming what they believe to be proper care, and anti venom will be a requirement. Which is just a huge money pit. With a shelf life of 6 months It would be cheaper to just pay for the vial they have at the hospital, since I only keep American hots

Wow, how cruel can a person be to wish them bitten by a venomous snake? We turn our heads to see accidents as we're going down the road. You see a bunch of squad cars, firetrucks and maybe even an ambulance at a scene and wonder what happened and then go on your merry way in life. I've seen pictures and videos of what can happen to someone who has been bitten by a Rattlesnake, it's nasty looking and I'm sure very painful. I don't wish that on my worst enemy, so to hear someone say they hope he gets bit, what a horrible person to be in the company of.

yea I agree with what hes saying and it's a very important thing he does. I just can't stand the way he squeezes to get every little drop, then calls it mesaging the glands. Ease up on them bud.

Im definitely not the authority. I have years of experience keeping hots, but I've never had to milk one. I've never had a reason to. I know he's got a very important job and I appreciate everything the zoo does. I just think he's a little rough with them sometimes. I've seen it done by several people, but I've never seen anyone squeeze there jaws so rough. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
