I bought one just like this, in 1982, when I was stationed in Germany. I also remember, vividly, that it came with a $500 price tag at the Army & Air Force Exchange Store. I have no idea what it cost in the States at the time? I got rid of it in 2002. The thing was huge and heavy. If someone is into nostalgia, this can certainly still be used with a turntable, tape deck and reel-to-reel.
Looks like a nice piece. Kenwood made some nice stuff back in the day. I have a KA-7300 and matching tuner that sound quite good. Except for the fact that the STK packs may fail any day? I hear they are unobtanium.
i have this receiver since the 90s bought from somebody long time ago still own it and would love to have it repaired since the power led meter don't light up.the unit still work and sound really good with alot of punch.do anybody have some knowledge on how to fix this issue?would appreciate for the help.the volume led sometimes work.anyway thank for the video.
Lots of shops work on these. The trick is finding a local one. These are too heavy to make it cost effective to ship for repairs. There is so much inside of one of these… I wouldn’t be surprised if a complete rebuild would be shockingly expensive.
