Whats the filters like in the ts890s was talking to icom about the 7610 which i like but ibthink as the same filters as the icom 7300, wife was going to buy me a yaesu ftdx101dmp 4.1 k in uk quite like the vc tune on it. Not a fan of the 3d display. But do like the ts890s just would like more info on the filters on board please? I suffer noise whete i live. Kenwood audio is smooooth.... best way to sound proper posh on air. I use a couple of QRP SDR’s a Flex 1500 and a Expert SunSDR super convenient and easy on the ears... had a Kenwood for while wish l never sold it.
Had a Flex 6400 & I tried both hi level & low level mic inputs & I could never get it to sound good on SSB. My 7610 is pretty good. But the 890 is a smooth operator & I get unsolicited comments on it.
The video is great, though, some of the text shots were small and illegible. For those who do not really need a second receiver in the radio, in my opinion, the TS-890 is a best radio you can buy nowadays. It is especially good if you work CW QSK since it uses diodes instead of relays… Dynamic range is perfect too… unfortunately the radio is not available in most of the north American stores…
it mean nothing he have the ic 7610 3 of them correct the 890 he had as well the 890 is better from the ic 7610 waterfall on the kenwood so much better the ic 7610 built very cheap
Did you solve the technical problem you had with Kenwood some time ago? Im hoping to have an 890 some day I was somewhat hesitant after seeing your vid
@@lizzyfan1986 So you don't know? That's OK, there's no shame in it. I have since bought (and sold) an FTDX10, so I can guess that many of the issues will be similar, given build and design philosophy is, in fact, similar. I went for something else instead and am very happy with it.
