Just a quick look at a radio that's been on the shelves for over a year and I finally hooked up a week ago, and she works!!!!! The Kenwood TS140S is a great radio, i have had mine for 30 years or so and it has been around the world a few tines, and works as good as it did when I took out if the box, and I still have the box. And I dont have sticky sliders,.

Looks really nice. You might want to check out what mods are available. I remember a 10 and/or 1 hz display mod and an all band transmit that opens TX on almost the entire radio. It might not allow TX over LW but I think it covers MW. I remember looking them up for a fellow ham using the internet before the Web was a thing.9

Hi Brenton I have a 140S and my sliders are pretty sticky too! Did you spray DeoxitD5 from the outside of the radio into the slot or did you open it up? The Memory/VFO knob sometimes jumps a band too. Any advice much appreciated. Julian G4VHJ

Hello, a question, when you use the radio, the scan function, it automatically crashes as soon as it finds a frequency where they are modulating?

yep, will sq scan no probs, but probably more effective on fm than ssb, but will work on both, just looking for a carrier on the freq to stop and listen, then resume. cheers Brenton

PS30/PS430/PS50, we have them all here and all work well on 100w transceivers like the Kenwood TS140s etc cheers Brenton
