I was born in Kenya, raised in kenya, studied in kenya, working in kenya, living in kenya and will die in kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪 starehe za kenya hazipatikani huko kwingine. May God bless my mother land.

Who else suggest this song should be used as the KENYAN ANTHEM...anyways just passing my message to anyone watching this song in 2050...this is a legendary song🙌
This song could have been a Kenyan national anthem for sure. Blessed kilimambogo. I remember those good days on Christmas festives we never sleep dancing all over the night...
I'm mixed....i was born in Kenya but moved to United States when i was only three months. Still this songs give me chills. I guess it's true.....ONCE A MOTHER LAND, ALWAYS MOTHER LAND!
I cry everytime I listen to this song and see those images. Kenyana were so optimistic in 1963 but the politicians had to come and destroy that optimism !!!
Just imagine the hope our forefathers had in the black government to move the nation to bright future, only for Kenyans to experience tough times in their governance
Am here listening to this song while is somewhere in gulf Arab countries. Oh God tears for my country kenya 🇰🇪. Big love from me i will be soon home Inshalla
Oh Kenya yangu, nimekumiss really I was driving ma car in ATLANTA GEORGIA ( USA ) nilikuwa naskiza huu nyimbo imagine nimejua io day wakenya wenzangu watano tulikula na tulikaa vizuri na sisi tunapendana kwa thati, team Kenya
Would love to hear the famous patriotic songs of the yerster years, from Mungano National Choir with the late Boniface Muganga, plus many more during the President Moi National holidays ! They made us proud of Kenya and really brought the cohesion we are looking for now ! Those were the times Kenyans were one and proud !!!
Kakai Kilonzo Juu. Wafanya nijivunie kuwa Mkenya. Maneno ya Mzalendo halisi.Hio nyimbo nzuri mno.Pole sana Kakai kutuaga ukiwa kijana mdogo sana.Mola akuweke kifuani mwake peponi.

this video is produced/shot around mid year 2007,the guy singing is a young brother to kakai. mbindyo is his name remember (NGETHESYE KALINAWA MBINDYO)
Huyu anataka ku...authorities hewa ajue harufu yake tunainusia 18🤣🤣🤣. Great song! I came looking for it. Proud to be the 21st Kenyan. The other generation did a great job to preserve Kenya foe us! I pray to God that we too leave a an adorable legacy! In God I trust.
This guy was unparalled I tell you, kakai thou not his real name the name was drawn from a nick name which he was given by a priest posted at kilimambogo ngunga parish from Italy, as "car guy" the priest gave a story of how people get entatained back in Italy by people who comes with guitar to entatained them so he used to call Michael kilonzo mwendandu a car guy coz he used to play guitar in the church. So those who comes from where I I come from can't mention car guy it was as simple as kakai, now you know
I actually love KENYA, felt like singing the song way back 2005 but I didn't get the information well I felt nostalgic then , this musician should be awarded for patriotism
What a talented musician we lost, i remember this song after the 82 coop and it used to make me cry the young i was 12 years old, when one morning i woke up and i saw so many bodies lying on the street and we had to go back indoors because there was heavy security every where!
I luv my home country,,,,,ewe Kenya baba yangu,,,Kenya mama yangu...kuna wanasiasa ambao wameanza kunyamba Kenya kutuharibia kura hasa kipindi cha uchaguzi
I play this song and I feel so touched and my eyes are full of tears especially when I remember how we suffered under colonialism.. I play every time especially on my birthday.. makes feel new.. I'm sure my grandchildren will love it and will remember me
Thanks Kaikai Kilonzo for the song for us the new generation. Current leaders who proclaim that they chosen to serve Kenyans need to listen this song and have a deep thought of what they are doing against their mother country.
Kenya my motherland, such a patriotic song should unite us all to build our nation and make our country great... nawapenda sana nyinyi wote wakenya wenzangu..very proud to be kenyan
Thanks for this song. This comes at the right time, I wish our so called leaders would rise up above personal ambitions and petty politics for the sake of the country as they heed the call of this song. If they cant listen to those who are alive, at least listen to the living dead....
You're right Delphine Masongo . I'm not Kenyan and I've been in Nairobi three years ago but I didn't hear a Swahili word from a Kenyan. I'm so surprised to see this guy singing in Swahili. From EAC
