Biggest potential 😁❤️ great convo peeps 👊🏻 first video I’ve actually watched the whole way through in a loooooonnng time 😂 not all views are created equal!
@@alexchui3511 Alex I really admire how u support Brittney, I have seen support from Kenya to other Africans n I must commend it and I hope u guys get the same from us too!! (Even though I fight with some of u here,😂😂😂 it's all love)
I find East Africans to be very polite even when they don't use the word "please". It's the way they ask for something or their tone and body language that speaks politeness.
Great interview Brittney. Am so glad you notice the big difference between West Africa and East Africa. East Africans have so much in common with Southern Africans, coming from a South African, I realized that their languages sound so similar to Southern African languages for example, Setswana, Zulu and Swahili but just how East Africans are, I simple can not differentiate them with Southern Africans but I can tell West Africans from South Africans simply by behavior.
South African bantus have common ancestry with east African bantus before moving south...you are correct about the languages there's a lot of shared words in some east and south African languages
@@Brian-bo4bz I agree with most of the things you said. Corrections though, there are no tribes or race of people called " Bantu", the people you refer to as " Bantu" are indigenous in every part of Africa and don't have a single place of origin and no scholar can prove the " Bantu" place of origin other than the lies with no scientific physical evidence. " Bantu" is a hypothesis introduced to us by a far right Nazi white man called Wilhelm Bleek, his theory was simply based on language similarities. You could say the same about Indians or Native Americans whose languages are similar to that of European man. Oh by the way, there are no language similarities between West Africans and the Xhosa, Batswana or Zulu tribes of Southern African but you would find so much similarities between East African tribes and Southern African tribe. Lastly, I did my DNA and I am only 3% West African but I am mostly Southern African and about 30% East African and I consider myself Zulu.
@@gedenironald8635 by bantu I didn't mean a race I meant people speaking languages classified as "bantu languages"...I just used the term because it is the only descriptive word of the said languages because sadly no African has coined a more appropriate name for the said language groups...and yes bantu languages have a similar structure if I might put it that way...I have heard southern African "bantu" grouped people and notice some similarities with east African languages and even shared vocabulary here and there like I heard a southern African calling a snake "nyoka" and thats what it's called in Swahili or "nyama" for meat...I heard the word "bantu" came from what these language group speaking peoples call people e.g abantu...and you are correct east Africans too don't share anything with west Africans linguistically...I myself am luhya which are classified as "bantu" but my sub tribe was originally kalenjin who are "Nilotic" and were assimilated into luhya "bantu" culture so I do agree with you there is no race called bantu it's the language family and by "bantus" I was referring to people who speak a language that falls in this category...in Kenya we have Nilotic and cushitic speakers and those languages are not similar at all even structure wise in terms of tenses, pronouns and prefixes compared to "bantu languages"...isizulu would sound more familiar to me than say Amharic despite Kenya sharing a border with Ethiopia and the distance from south Africa
IKR? I was like which West Africa is she talking about? I (a Kenyan) found them extremely loud and aggressive with no respect for a person's personal space and boundaries. I realised then and then that Kenya is the only place in Africa I can live long-term.
Thanks @BrittneyInAfrica for bringing Ms Trudy on board. You asked all the right questions and got answers that even those of us that have followed her for a long time didn't know. Now get a powerbank for your phone because we lose a lot of "tea" when your phone goes off all the time 😂😂😂. I hope you collect a lot of subbies when she posts about this convo in her channel. Good luck girl!
Thank you for hosting our lovely Trudy. Brittney you are the best. A sister hosting a sister nice. Good content. Love from Philadephia Pennsylvania am also originally Trudy and Wode Maya’s fun’s. Love it.
Wow this was very good and informative!! She's right about uploading daily. A lot of us be waiting on your videos Brittney, trust that we don't get tired of the content!! ❣️❣️
brittney is definitely going to the top, if you keep this same energy you will potentially go supernovae because you have the unique opportunity to help build a permanent human bridge between africans on the african continent and the millions of africans in the diaspora
Travelling and showing people places is very good. this is because when I watch your videos I feel like I am there too. "online tourism" I can be in Kenya while without getting out of my house.
This was a great interview. Wode Maya & Miss Trudy's love story is so beautiful. You asked really insightful questions, so I got some good info about Kenya for my trip next year.
Hello Miss Brittany I from the Trudy gang and I loved this interview. I am happy to meet you. I am in the US and I’ll be watching you now! Keep doing you 😊❤️🙏🏾✊🏾🙏🏾
As a Kenyan married to a West African for 17+ years, I can attest to the respect, the food, they are extremely cultured but not too crazy - my husband is a present father, present husband, cooks and cleans and the dark skin just does it for me. West Africa is different. You can't compare the two though, I think it's unfair Ummm Trudy, we learned a lot about World history. I can remember learning about Czars, Mao Ze Tung etc.
I think you can definitely compare the two just like people compare the West Coast and the East Coast when trying decide exactly where they want to live in America and they compare the south to the north comparisons are not always wrong it allows people to decide what is best for them!
Hey Brit, I definitely find myself stalking your channel for more content. Lol If you post more I will watch more.. you’ve helped me get a good understanding of visiting Africa and possibly more from a black American perspective. Keep up the great work!
Hi Brittney. Your channel has recently been getting linked to my channel on RU-vid Studio so I decided to visit your channel! I love your vibe and I am thrilled to meet you. I am Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 and currently live in the UK 🇬🇧. Was actually in Kenya 🇰🇪 this June and vlogged from the Nairobi Expressway. I LOVED KENYA and since I visited I long to return. Would love to learn from you and I am thrilled to meet you!
In West Africa, we're taught to be very respectful n polite!!! But one thing is that we can switch up on u at any moment n get loud n aggressive!! Kenyans are generally not use to using the word 'please but are very soft spoken n calm
As always Ashley, you conduct an good interview! I was a little taken aback when you paint an area with a broad brush, example, I am from Long Island, NY, not all of NY is the same. I l live in DC proper, and people from DC will tell you that Virginia is very different from DC. Keep up your journey of growth, regards, Ms. Parker
Brittney you are right, northern Africa especially Egypt would probably be good only for historical visits(i.e pyramids). Subsaharan region of African makes the best region for most and frequent visits because it gives a true and rich African culture.
POLITENESS, HUMBLENESS by Ghanaians is Unmatched. I am not sure were in Ghana you went to to Sis. Any person who has been to Ghana says the same. Where ever you go in Ghana, you get good morning, afternoon, evening. And the word Please is used to answer or ask any question.
Brittney are you kidding me!…….we could never get tired oy your vids…we loooove them.Keep them coming! And thank you for bringing the wonderful Miss Trudy on board!
Brittney, great interview girl. Just love my Trudy. People, listen to her commentary. Brittney you have such a personality.....you are going places too...keep on keeping on my lovely💕
Great Interview. The more appropriate title , though, would be the Kenyan with the biggest international audience and not what was stated though Trudy has the potential to be the biggest locally and internationally.
Brit you are a talent when its come to interviewing your guests, and also like she rightly mentioned posting more videos will gain you more views and subscribers. Keep it up. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
the one along mombasa road is Konza city also there is another one along ruiru i guess called tatu city both being tech cities ..Now from the top, make it drop (interviews), thats a good interview,
I’ve noticed in many videos that all Miss Trudy has to say about South Africa is that it’s really developed. When she went there she only showed us the tall buildings and infrastructure and didn’t show us the food and the way of life of South Africans. I hope when you go there you will show us the streets like how you have done with Eastleigh and Thika
You are right Brittney couples are winning alot of love which gives them more viewership. I guess this is the reason many Kenyan youtubers are doing it together with their bebz. You too we need to link you up with a charming Kenyan man😅
@Miss Trudy is one of the most decent Kenyan RU-vidrs, and she creates amazing, fun and educative content to boot it. Meanwhile, intermarriages in Kenya are pretty common for years, except among a few tribes due to misguided political and cultural differences. Most inter-tribal marriages are common among neighboring tribes for obvious reasons of proximity and intercultural fusion. Regarding the Tech. city you are talking about at 32:14, am sure you are referring to Konza City, the Silicon Savana, and you are right it is on your way to Mombasa. And yes, Miss Trudy was referring to yet another city, but largely promoted as Medical city. They are both amazing impressive developments. Konza is a government project, though, while Mwale Medical is a private project. Great conversation, Brittney and Trudy!
Trudy Kenyans are not really impolite. I think it is more a language thing, some Ugandans also start every sentence by saying 'please' . So probably in Ghanaian languages saying please before greeting someone is just normal, and not necessarily politeness.
Yes, I totally agree with your view. Many Kenyans just state what they'd like. Many also say please and thank you. For us(Kenyans), it's how you say or request something from another person, the tone, volume and body language. Saying please and thank you doesn't necessarily mean people are polite.
Precisely!! Tone is everything. You can say please with a very rude tone!! What is this nonsense of using please all over unnecessarily being a measure of being polite? I use please when I need to but will never say ridiculous things like please, how are you? What's that even!!
I love Miss Trudy, and she is so beautiful as well. She is especially gorgeous in that West African outfit. 😍😍 I may speak harshly sometimes in her comments, but I always mean well, and they are usually constructice criticism. In fact, if she had read and listened to some of my comments when she visited the USA, she won't be having the issues she is having now in Uganda and Kenya. Either way, Trudy I love and appreciate you. ❤❤❤
Miss Trudy I have subscribed to the you tube channel for Brittney in Africa . Thank you two for the positive feedback about Africa . It is your time to continue shining for ever .
You are on the right track Britney 👣 and thank you for this candid interview with Miss Trudy. It's so empowering to hear what she has had to overcome to get to where she is. I have been thinking of moving back home after 20+ years and watching you both has me feeling so determined to make it happen. Keep up the good work in bridging the gap, both of you 👏 ❣️
Truly truly kenyans are polite unlike west Africans they are so aggressive and very loud. I think trudy wast just cautious about her in laws but they are damn loud that's a fact, that we won't buy my sister it's a lie those guys are damn rude... Brittney....the techno city your talking about is konza city along mombasa road it's a good project check it out ...
Wrong. Kenyans are very accommodating. Literally everyone from everywhere is here doing their things and Kenyans embrace them with open arms. See how supportive they are when it comes to YT channels.
Spot on and very humble authentic Kenyan man no DRAMA or BRAVADO just hustling fully focused just like the legend athletes Rudisha, Yego,Kemboi, Kipchogo,Injira
Plenty of Kenyan youtubers making major strides. The mistake some people make is use Wode Maya and travel vloggers as the measure of big youtubers. Plenty of great youtubers in Kenya that do not do travel and are known and loved by Kenyans!!
Just subscribed to your channel brittany after watching your interview on miss Trudy channel, love the fact that you appreciate your roots and willing to actually move to roots continent that's a big move, thumbs up to you.
It's good to note that there is a technology city being built called Konza and there is the one Dr. Mwale is building. Konza is located in Malili on your way to Mombasa
I used to watch Trudy here and there when she had just started so to see her grow this big was like WOW! I've been on RU-vid for 5 years and girl I'm stagnant, LOL She really worked hard.
