The Kenya Finance Bill protests are a series of decentralized mass demonstrations that are now taking place around Kenya over a planned tax hike by the Kenyan government in parliament. The Parliament presented the "2024 Finance Bill" in May 2024, which would primarily change the tax code to pay down debt.

He's unequivocally deserving of the title Honourable. The Leader of opposition, the Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi and Member of Parliament for Nakawa West constituency, Speaker of the NUP, is a quintessential standard of true leadership in Uganda. You couldn't have had a better Member of Parliament on the show to represent the opposition and Uganda at large#PeoplePowerOurPower

Uganda is a VERY tribalistic country. Let M7 stay. If the triblism issue is not solved even the next president will still no do better. Actually it will be worse than ever.

Thank you! This is the best comment. You realise there like only 2 tribes demonstrating in Ugandan, and even then, their issues are a bit off-topic to concern all the Ugandan citizens. See forexample: when a political leader is imprisoned, there are obviously those who don't support him. They won't be part and at the end it will flop. They focus on wrong issues all the time! They are not concerned about the major issues.

No fight is there in Uganda. The protests have gained a good move. Today, the same president has withdrawn the financial Bill. 🎉 Fear has taken root in Ugandans
