Its one of his best. It shouldn't be compared to his other albums because it's different from those. It's in it's own lane. It's a classic album. Everything doesn't have to be a club banger. This is thought provoking music
That's what the art of music is ment to be, to express ones feelings and ideas. I agree that it's not the best album he's done musically but when you sit with it for a few days you find your self drawn in from the honesty and originality of its content.
Dame have been on this wave -black ownership, legacy etc for at-least 5-7 years ( publicly). We live in a bandwagon society. Now J is " deep" when again Dame , Nas etc been on this info and disseminating it for a while now.

I felt Jay Z needed a more conscious album like 4:44 in his discography. I began to think this way before I knew he was dropping 44 with the release and hype and videos of the movie All Eyes on Me/Tupac. With Tupac dead, everyone remembers his consciousness more than is gansta. It was then i thought of Jay being alive and hasn't produced any of that type of album nor came, as a great with anything that mirrors what the people want. 4:44 was a good album. I appreciated as a female but it wasn't jammed packed with jewels and knowledge. The beats and inspired songs are and were more touching.....Nina Simone etc.
I like the work you're putting out Kenyatta. Great stuff. Maybe writing out some of your comments before recording to would be better. You make some great points, but the ideas seem fragmented because they are improvised. One love. Peace! Upvoted!

So, guess what? After the up and coming artist becomes famous, then your piece of art will be a smart invest for MOST ADULTS. Most adults, regardless of age or race, do not have a million dollars to invest in a piece of art. And don't let me get started on him rapping about infidelity. Nigga, no man should EVER confess. Of course we have the side baby exception. But other than that, no man should EVER confess, under no circumstance should he tell on himself. Like, why don't you think we haven't heard and huge hits from Usher after Confessions? Don't nobody want to hear that BS. No grown should confess.
