That's Lee Hyori at the end of Jessi's MV. She's a late 1st-gen kpop Idol. She debuted in *1998* as the leader of the girl group Fin.K.L. from DSP Media. Kind of a legend.

Well, since you asked, yes, I used to work out quite a bit. When I was in my mid-30s, I started lifting. I was quite stocky for a woman at just 5'2" and heavy. I wanted to get into shape and lose some weight. Since I was already strong for a girl, I decided on weights. I fell in love with them. Five days a week I lifted (one to two body parts a day plus cardio) during my lunch break, starting with just the plain bars for each exercise as instructed by the gym owner. and caught the notice of the gym owner because I would increase my weights across the board by 5#s every week. The owner asked if I was having any muscle soreness to which I said no. I just told him I didn't feel challenged enough. I had only been there a short time. After hearing this, he asked me to try something. I was game, and he took me to the bench press and asked me to lift whatever he put on the bar until I couldn't lift anymore. He would spot me. We ended it at 150#. Come to find out, he had started a competitive power lifting group. They attended meets across New England. He asked me to join the group, and I did. I did very well, winning every meet except for one -- my father had died suddenly just two weeks prior to the meet. I was totally out of it and should have never gone as my coach suggested. In any case, by the time I stopped competing, I was benching 275# without a spotter and 325# with one. Deadlifting ended at 425# (I hated those!), and one time our coach asked me to have a friendly competition on the leg press --- loved that. I would do double legs, single legs, and single side leg presses as part of my regular leg day routine. For the competition, we did double leg presses and would go up about 50#s with each round. We ended with 610#s. Both our knees were starting to shake and the weight bar of the sled was bending slightly. My coach gave up first. No shade to him. He was 6'5" compared to my 5'2". He had a L.O.N.G way to extend compared to me. I really miss those days, but I'm now just shy of 60 and no where near a gym, but I can reminisce as much as I want...lol. As to music, I was oblivious to Kpop at that time, so I listened to head-bangers to get me pumped up. Mostly things like Collective Soul, some Creed, other hard Rock and Metal like Rush, Def Leopard, AC/DC, etc., and others that I can't remember anymore. Taemin and his group, SHINee are my FAVORITE Kpop artists. In fact, they're the only ones I listen to now. If I was lifting today, I would create a workout playlist as follows: Taemin: "Advice", "IDEA" (most definitely), "Guess Who", "Danger", "Stone Heart", "Do It Baby", "What's This Feeling", and "Pinocchio" (with BeWhy), "Famous". Key: "Bad Love", "Yellow Tape", "Show Me" SHINee: "Doo-Bop", Lucifer", "Sherlock", "Stranger", "Why So Serious", "Picasso", "Hitchhiking", "Evil", "Nightmare, "Amigo", "Breaking News", "Electric Heart", "Shout Out", "Amigo", "Dangerous", "Burning Up", "Destination", "Dynamite", "Get the Treasure", "Jump", "Lock You Down", "Don't Call Me". All their other songs would be more appropriate for either cardio or cool down. SuperM (I listen to them mostly for Taemin): ANYTHING other than their ballad or lite songs like "Wish You Were Here", etc. Other solo songs by Onew, Jonghyun, Minho, Key, and Taemin are more appropriate for either cardio, Pilates, yoga, or cool downs.

I am a pure twice Stan and literally no other KPOP artist interests me in the slightest... That said, Somi was my favourite sixteen contestant and since she's the unofficial 10th TWICE member I wouldn't hate to see more of her. That being said.
