I grew up in Keremeos. My husband and i along with a couple dozen good friends planted our vineyard in Keremeos. It's a slow paced lifestyle, people are kind and hard working. I had a pony when I was little and graduated to an Arabian mare when I was old enough. I spent a lot of time riding up on the hills and mountain trails with my dad, fishing and hunting with dad and my brother. Lots of bush parties up Ashnola river road, smoked lots of Cannabis. I had good friends in high school. Hi Ingrid. 👋 I hope and pray everyone comes through this fire season safe and healthy with minimal damages and may said damages be fully covered by insurance. Its too nice of a community with good kind residents. I'll continue to pray for all you fine folks. God Bless.

I am glad you are back from Europe . Have you ever considered doing a video driving Highway 395 in the Sierras ? I know you did from Reno to Bishop which was great but not one og the whole 395 , just a suggestion. Your videos are great.

Anyone find it interesting how in bc we evaluate and then establish a comprehensive plan and prioritize which fire gets exstinguished first...second...third... I remember 50 years ago...we had foresters over looking forests from towers...at the slightest puff of smoke...they were on it extinguishing that fire... NOW WE HAVE COMMITTEE MEETING...PRIORITIES...RISK MANAGEMENT...WEEKS LATER...THE FIRE IS OUT OF CONTROL...

there are fires currently in BC that are lightning started and burning into the uninhabited back country( like Sparwood fire) They should be left alone to burn the forrest so it can rejuvenate the area as nature does.

I have a cabin that was under evac alert 2 days after the fire started. Alert was rescinded a few days ago. Fire is still out of control but it changed directions and is now moving away from where my cabin is located.

Happens every year in the Okanagan and it's terrible I'm glad I never have to deal with that but I feel bad for the people to do because it is a nice place to live I always like to stop at that bear country fruit stand don't even know if it's still around
