They call us North Korea of Africa 😂😂😂😂 Imagine, you walk around videoing whatever you want in North Korea😢 Death sentence ! In Eritrea even foreigners can get close to the president filming him. Tiurists are a little bit controled bacause of our bad experience from the past; like the British comandos who were caught with snipers and explosives. Eitrea is not other countries where foreigners walk in to "Change regims" lol. Ethiopea is in such a danger already. Or Haiti, or.....😂

Beautiful Zann, You are the rarest daimond ever. I wish you come next time and get the chance to visit Massawa and the afar and rashaida ethnic groups. Even if you didn't get the chance to meet them, you participated in Eritrean annual Expo festival where you can meet all the nine Ethnic groups in one place with their unique cultures. Am sure you have found Eritrean hospitality and welcoming nature infectious and admirable... You are indeed a diplomat for many other interested historians, tourists, Writers and journalists to see eritrea 🇪🇷 for what it actually is.. There are many things that i would like for you to see when you revisit 🇪🇷... to mention some. 1. A well preserved italian and British cemeteries of world war 2 in keren and Asmara. 2. A place called Tinqulahas, where the world war 2 ended when British defeated italy while both trying to colonise Eritrean people and steal our minerals. 3. Ancient italian buildings in keren 4. Kachnew, an American military base of 1970s in Asmara. 5. In Massawa. The oldest most ancient Mosque and the first bank in Africa. 6. You must have visited or seen the long rail way from asmara to massawa.. it was built by italians in 1930s and got destroyed and became out of use by Ethiopians during the 1961-1991 30 years, longest war for freedom in Africa. Lastly, you may have found eritrea 🇪🇷 as a poor country with underdeveloped infrastructure, roads, tourism and public services, it's very painful. Eritrea is the newest nation, just 33 years young. In the whole world, only south sudan got established after eritrea in 2011, i think. Sadly all this hindrance happened because of USA policy in our region. Our neighbour Ethiopia backed by your government has tried to bury Eritrean economy and development so many times.. they sanctioned eritrea for morethan 25 years and blocked its govt from making any business deals, import and export, build diplomacy with other sovereign countries. This is why we seem left behind but trust me despite all those hindrances, we prospered, fought back and we are back on track. We are rich in mineral resources and 1000km + coastal lines.In whole Africa, We are the first in literacy, cycling, running, and lowest in child and maternal death, AIDS, MALARIA, TB, HOMELESSNESS, with education, healthcare, socail services being free or at minimal cost. Surely, your government will not stop trying to make us look like haters, terrorists, human right violators when US it self are masters of terrorism and destability. We refuse to accept USAid, we dont tolerate to have foreign interference in our internal matters and we work to have self reliance, freedom and justice in our own terms and national values. We didn't pay morethan 70,000 martyrs and 30 years of gorilla war in mountains for a rogue empire to dictate our daily lives. I hope by you visiting us, and learning what we Eritreans are, you invite more people and represent us and share our core values and aspirations in the continental arena.. Thank you. Lastly, i lived in keren my whole life but i was very scared to climb keren hotel's top staircase.. but you did it in one go.. you are amazing. Truly. MAY GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND LOVED ONES. A lot of distortions and defamation on Eritrea has gone for many decades therefore we are wary of people and put rules to protect our nations and people's dignity respect and safety. However Eritrea is still has open arms for friendly visitors like you who r curious and are genuine.

I think keren is the first city i visited in Eritrea after i become an adult. Nice memories yoghurt and fruits. Chilled place.

Thank you for these videos and the challenges you had gone though to get what you wanted which was to connect with the local tribes. This is one of the most traditional places untouched by the big tech! Although tech is good but too much can isolate people and change way of life. this is still one of the places where if you go with the flow of the country and government you can live according to your own traditions and there seems to be no wars amongst the tribe which can only be good! I enjoyed watching your video and well done for undertaking this adventure in this country. It reminds me of rural Egypt 70 years ago!

Also, it is not 9 ethnic groups as actually all Eritreans are related, bt there are 9 languages.. and really there are no difference between Tigre and Tigrinya linguistically, only difference is Tigre is the modern Geez.. and Tigrinya has fallen much from the Geez, which Tigre didn’t.. meaning 85% of Eritreans actually speak the same language… the difference between Tigre and Tigrinya is like the difference between Roman and Napolitano Italian dialects, the Napolitano sounding more closer to Latin… bt by blood and culture Romans and Napolitano are the same. However, Eritreans and Ethiopians do not share keenship, the very reason Eritreans hate to be associated with them, and they love to be associated with us because they lust our country, which was never theirs anyways and would never have been had it not been for the evil US act against our nation in 1952.
