We followed Keri through her career but THE Americans gave us pause. This show should have won every award and accolade of praise out there. It is the ONE show you wait impatiently for every week, and without interruption sit on the edge of your seat. The acting and story line, subplots are engaging and brilliant. If anyone has missed this show, grab it anywhere you can and binge watch, if you dare.

I could not agree with you more. Stated so well. The Americans put Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys on the Map in a big way. I do not think I have ever enjoyed a show as much as this. I taped it every week and watched them over and over and over. The writing, the story, the acting of all of the actors was extraordinary. It makes other shows I used to think were great look blah now in comparison. Why they did not take home all the rewards like Game of Thrones is beyond me.

I didn't manage to watch it after a few episodes, even though I'm a huge fan of Russell. But the suspense was too much for me. I can't stand mentally the knowledge that people will be killed or tortured. So I never finished the series...

Here's how they mostly talk about it "I haven't slept in months, i'm tired, stress, always crazy with worry, my life is miserable... BUT honestly it's the greatest gift a person can have" and you just feel like the last part was them BSing and being politically correct. Like they have to throw that in there. Having kids still doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Recently married, and thinking of having kids. I am teetering on the idea of not having kids because I love the time alone, and time with my wife. Having kids would be an amazing experience, I'm sure, but it will also be an arduous experience as well.... oh boy what to do.

I've a lot of regrets in life but I'm making sure having the responsibility of another tiny human being (kid/maniac) their present and their future is not gonna be one of them, Everyone says it wonderful cause if they see otherwise they'll be judged so bad. Spring Giddinessify - I feel you! I’m waiting until my youngest is out of diapers and then I’m taking my trip whether my husband likes it or not. I’ve been saving grocery rebates for it, so he can’t even really complain about the expense. He’s welcome to do the same if he wants to because we all need a break sometimes. Hang in there!

I think the Americans also got to her head to a point of I want this to be over...she is such an absent mom in the series from the beginning and now she literally has lost her family because she was selfish...I guess that also takes a certain emotional toll in real life...luckily she has Matthew who seems more the ying/yang
