Remember that this is at an award show, not at a kerli concert, veryone isn't there for kerli. Secondly, kerli's performance was very visual. You can't jump and scream of excitement while concentrating on the visual performance.
It's also likely relating to the fact that it's an awards show. Sure the crowds can be reactive to the performances- but they very rarely get super into it or anything like that.
I dont understand people complaining about the audience. This was not just an ordinary fan concert with teenagers but a gala evening with important guests. I believe it was also a big honour for Kerli to perform there. Not everyone is invited to EMA.

Firstly as a singer I would love to perform for a crowd like this. They're mesmerized by her. They aren't screaming because they want to focus on her voice and performance. Like when you go to an opera our theater. Other concerts are horrible because you can't actually hear the artist over the loud tone deaf fans singing over them. I want to hear and watch the artist, not the patrons. And most fans at other concerts are way to aggressive. Grabbing at the performers and throwing shit on stage.
Hahahahhaha, that crowd! I mean, if you look closely, you can see they had curious eyes and smiles on their faces. Estonians are not people of many visible reactions, but they were totally enjoying it nonetheless.

...so for those of you on youtube that are and have been very critical...you have to realize something folks...1st listen to the song without the video...and absorb the song itself...ITS GREAT...then watch the video again...as far as the DP (director of photography) the very beginning and very end were shot near perfect...realize a DP is sooo important in conveying a story and this was a story...Kerli performs as a storyteller always...that's another natural gift she has in each project she does...iii could have given a few more seconds to her arm to the sky in "Love Me or Leave Me" (the camera was moving like a butterfly moving seeing a girl and I got that and that was brilliant) for that was a real painful moment Kerli was reliving the moment...remember the character was descending from the sky and then is bare...to really show you what a REAL passionate performer Kerli is the crowds emotion throughout the show was subdued by their culture...if your a new fan and haven't watched Kerli's videos where she talks of her culture...Estonians aren't very emotional publicly its the culture...but it fits in the story...its almost like witnessing something pure and great and not understand it...Kerli still performs in a private moment and gives the energy to us through the screen...iii felt that but she gave it...how generous a performer she is...as an actor this is what you want to give the audience always...a real private moment relived...she did this without effort because its natural for her and that's a gift...she's a storyteller...its real...iii wont critique the DP because I can talk about cinematography on this for hours and some of that is subjective BUT the dance sequences should have been shot like "Love Me or Leave Me" THAT FLYING BUTTERFLY at that pace...it would have worked with the dancing trust me because its like a play...giving the TV audience what the audience in house sees...two different shows...and its hard to know that unless its done again...kinda like PINKs performance on the Grammys...so under the circumstances its a choice but too quick of a smash cut doesn't give the TV audience enough time to absorb the dancing around Kerli like the inhouse audience...so really its an optical illusion of not understanding the dance movement...remember the dancers characters are chaos and what stripped Kerli bare to the end song...so watch the video again...im sure the DP understands...dude ive gotta go to sleep...but iii love this stuff...Kerli's the real deal...yeah...
...iii LOVE this mix dude...who mixed this???...it works well with Army of Love and the dance from Free Flow Goddess...you can tell with the inflections in Kerli's voice especially in "Zero Gravity" and "Love Me or Leave Me", how each original lyric had a unique spin on it that it was live...and iii LOVE the new connotations to the songs...very Artful and Spirit filled...that Estonian Nature Girl from the Forestt...she was sooo in the moment...that's what a real musical Artist does...paint with her emotion...Kerli makes you feel it...
Such a beautiful performance! I'm really sad she lip sync'd though! Oh well we already know she's an amazing singer! Also I feel like she did it because it was more of a remix of all the tracks and live vocals probably wouldn't sound too good with it! You guys just need to show some love instead of hate! ♡♡♡

The audience loves her very much, we (estonians) know her since she is 12. We preciate her art. We are polite and dont scream, while any artist is performing

Because at this event, partly because this is running LIVE on TV, everybody are doing lip sync. And believe me, as this is Estonian Music Awards, then all of performers are great singers. Probably it is just easier to organise and create.

People keep asking why the crowd is so boring. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong,or disagree with my opinion,but maybe the audience is upset because they think she is lip syncing. It looks like it to me,but I apoligize if my though is incorrect.
MysticLullaby its not because of her, its the EMA thats is that way (at that time in the past, at least). All artists performing there lip synced. It's not a very big and notable award so is more easier to them do this way cause they don't have many resources.
