I agree but in live performances she does this metalcore screaming, like really aggressive over the top death screamo. it ruins any peacefulness of her singing to me.
Kero Kero Bonito is the only band I know whose able to perfectly capture the feeling of young adulthood angst in their music in such a creative and metaphorical way. The lyric, “I get the feeling I always have been swimming” just hits me right in my chest every time. This is probably one of their best songs in my opinion. The melody and lyrics are simple, yet their is so much depth within them.
Such sad-relieving, angst-melting, mesmerising song from the best band ever. Thank you for never failing to make my day (and night), really need this boost rn ;;
This is how i feel. This song has been helping me through a tough time lately as dumb as it sounds. Its just the perfect song for chilling to, for a melancholy mood, a happy hopeful mood, a sad mood... its just a great song.
To those that haven't been to an English beach, just want you to know that the sea us cold af, especially this time of year. Sarah is a brave soul! (Can confirm thus is filmed in England because of the shot of Durdle Door) Also, a beautiful video for a beautiful song! 💙
To me this video looks EXACTLY like the beaches I have been to in Oregon. also a bit like some Northern CA beaches, but mostly like Oregon ones. southern Cali beaches look nothing like this. way more people and sun. The cold, rainy day plus no people just reminds me of Oregon.
Is it weird that this is EXACTLY what I imagined the music video would be? Like, the aesthetic is so on point. It complements well with the song's sugary sound and the happy-sad lyrics T_T
last night i cried listening to this song and i thought it was bc i was high and vibing too hard but today i listened to it sober and i still cried again
Every album she/they have come out with has been completely unique in sound and theme. And I love each one! That is so unprecedented in music and KKB is so underrated. Legends
This song makes me feel free while at the same time reminding me of the bittersweetness of being on your own, and of being alive in general. Never felt this many emotions from a song
it's 1am- you're stressed out after a long day at work + personal issues that just keep piling up. came home, showered and got dressed in a tee and sweats. you drove around the neighbourhood, ordered your favourite childhood meal from the 24-h McDonalds drive-thru and parked your car near the beach. the same spot you always went to during your high school days with your pals and your high school sweetheart. you slowly remember all the good times you've had in your life. this song plays in the background while you sit and stare into the ocean with the 4am breeze by your side. no matter how tough things get, remember to sit and breathe. there are so many things to treasure and enjoy in life. breathe, you got this.
I was treading on the beach Summer underneath my feet Somewhere I'd never seen Mama led me by the hand 'Til the grit stuck with the damp And the foam fizzed adrift When we both strode in I could feel the detritus lifting And I moved like I knew that I was free again Then before thinking I ventured out Swimming Across the sea The current battles way down below me Drifting But holding on I keep my head up to watch the shore After many years had passed Hoping I would find the path I arrived at the start In the shadow of a cliff Memories floating in the wind I squared up to the tide On my own this time I could feel the detritus lifting While a teardrop tickled as it ran away But it got lost in the wash I tossed Swimming Across the sea I get the feeling I always have been Swimming Across the sea The current battles way down below me Drifting But holding on I keep my head up to watch the shore Swimming Swimming Traducir al español
