Naomi Abengowe you are the sweetest!! Thank you!! But no!! It's all about personalizing it and everyone's will be different! Give it some of your own unique style and the space will really come together :)
hi, sorry this is so late lol but I was wondering if your bathroom came with that metal organizer shelf above the toilet, or if you all bought the organization in the actual shower room/bath? thanks!
McKenna Apodaca no worries!! It didn't come with it actually. My suite mates and I purchased it from target and constructed/built it ourselves. It was pretty easy and not that expensive and made space to organize and store our toilet paper and feminine products as you saw!
Vivian Chao I lived in Kerr my freshman year and I actually really liked it! It's probably one of the most known halls on campus. Lots of storage space and I liked not having a community bathroom. It has a dining hall too so it was super convenient to just roll out of bed and go grab something to eat instead of having to walk to another hall. The food is pretty decent, it depends on what you get though. I liked breakfast personally. Kerr Hall is always hosting events and there's just always something happening!
I have a question about the lights above your bed! I know you cant have Christmas lights, and those are battery powered lights, but are you sure theyre allowed! Do people check constantly for that stuff?
gracieflowerss I'm honestly not sure if I was "technically" allowed to have them but no one noticed. i only turned mine on occasionally and never left them on when I left my room. they were also kind of hidden behind a sheer fabric. RA's will do room checks sporadically and randomly and if they ask you to take it down than you should. If you don't take it down after being asked it'll usually get confiscated and you'll have to pay to get it back. It's totally up to you though, it is a little risky tbh! But if you want to try it they'll usually do a warning before confiscating! Usually though, it just depends each hall and RA is different.
You put string lights in your room? I thought we couldn't have any? I'm moving in this Saturday and I bought some but they told me we weren't allowed to have them in our room... :(
Awh yeah you unfortunately can't have Christmas lights which are the ones that plug into the outlet so I ended up using led lights with a operated battery pack! I'm actually not sure if I was totally allowed to have them lol but they weren't really that visible and I didn't have them on all the time! Best of luck!
Hi! Awh no of course not! It's actually a thin sheet of plexiglass over a sheet of wrapping paper lol! And then the edges of the desk are covered with metallic washy tape!:) hope that helps!
