Her voice is so pure and so beautiful. Love this version. Heartily greetings from Germany Few more months to go and I visit Scotland again. Scotland I miss you so much
Kerri. The opening of this is soooo haunting. I love it. Wish it was longer on its own. Also love the jazz/country jaunt of the main part of this track. Your lilt is wonderful. I have Scottish heritage and it just gets me going.
Always liked this song. This, cover, arrangement and your beautiful voice makes it a favorite. Your singing seems conscious of the subject matter. There have been many beautiful voices to sing this, but few that took this into consideration.
Finally, someone who can sing it right XD I keep coming up with American singers or Irish singers who sing things like "Lock" instead of "Loch", and "I" and "you" instead of "Ah" and "ye". Also, the way you sing "banks"? I love it, I've always loved singers who have that little lilt (or however you describe it, not sure that's the right word).
from usa , my mom was Japanese, she loved this song, she would sing it to us as a child, it stuck with me , i sing it to my dogs, cavaliers when we walk daily
Absolutely love this version! Kerri and the band does a lovely job!. Such an uplifting and fun version. I've searched for this version on Spotify but can't seem to find it. So Kerri.....please, please upload to Spotify. I'm a 5th generation Canadian MacDougall and proud of my Scottish roots. This song transports me to the Highlands where I wander in peace and tranquility.
You can sing that beautifully AND play violin/fiddle? HUGE wow. Cool Jennifer Lawrence Mystique look too. Superstar. Tell your band great job as well! best from Germany.
Lovely....an aural treat... the Bonnie Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond are so welcoming...never seen them discriminate on grounds of race, religion, gender, ethnicity ....🏴
By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes, Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond, Where me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. O you take the high road, and I'll take the low road, And I'll be in Scotland afore ye, But me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. 'Twas there that we parted, in yon shady glen, On the steep, steep side of Ben Lomond, Where in soft purple hue, the hieland hills we view, And the moon coming out in the gloaming. O you take the high road, and I'll take the low road, And I'll be in Scotland afore ye, But me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. The wee birdies sing and the wildflowers spring, And in sunshine the waters are sleeping. But the broken heart it kens, nae second spring again, Though the woeful may cease from their grieving. O you take the high road, and I'll take the low road, And I'll be in Scotland afore ye, But me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
I like your version of this classic, though it is different than how others approach it. I would venture to say that an a capella version by you would be no less appealing, so don't let any negative opinions about tempo/beat affect how you choose to sing your songs. Talent shows through. BTW, I think that your version of any traditional Scottish tune (Flower of Scotland and Skye Boat Song come to mind) would be amazing, and would hope that you could find the time to post some songs like that.
Like it looks like the kind of little Scottish girl you could have drink with and no I am not being facitious. Seems like and all-American Scottish Lassie.
Cette version un peu trop jazzée perd du romantisme de cette ballade écossaise. Mais j'ai beaucoup aimé le début au violon et la fin. Il faut le dire aussi, Kerri Watt a une très très très belle voix.
@@Kerriwattofficial hahahaha. Don't listen to her! This is definitely the best cover of this song by far! Do you have a recording that can be purchased on iTunes?
