You are making an 83 year old man cry with your pure voice. I hope to God that you are still singing. My older sister (now passed) and I sang this to my mother when she was in the hospital and had to sing outside with mama looking out the window. Always my favorite.
This brought me to tears. I'm assuming it was during early days of covid when no one was allowed inside facilities. What a beautiful gift you gave your mother. Many blessings.
This is also my favorite version of this song. When I hear her sing it and I sing it myself I feel so close to God. I am so thankful that Jesus Christ the Savior came down and was born a baby, and died for our sins so that we could live and have eternal life.
I've heard this song in the background a thousand times during my lifetime at Christmas but this rendition is so beautiful and effectual. It blows my mind every time I hear it.
This arrangement is a near copy of Celine Dion's from her 1998 TV special. You should really treat yourself and listen to it. It's a bigger production with full orchestra and choir but still very intimate.
Her gorgeous voice proves that singing it pure is all that's needed to make this the most stunning rendition of this song. No need for insane vocal gymnastics as it is already one of the most beautiful songs ever, and she honors that so beautifully. It's been my favorite for several years.
Thank you Kerri for your joyful love for Sovereign Father and Lord Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit :) "Fall on your knees! OH, Hear the angel voices OH, Night Divine OH, Night when CHRIST was born OH, Night Divine, OH, Night when CHRIST was born. HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH
Hands down, it's the best version of Holy Night ever! I am a piano player and have accompanied this song in churches over 25 years countless times. Never heard anyone sing so beautifully! ❤️
Hi Alexi. Have you ever downloaded from RU-vid, Celine performing this? It honestly blows Kerry into the water, as much as I like Kerry's version. Even the very opening line from Kerry proceeds to demonstrate a rushed and shortened delivery of a singular word, which is always the tell tell sign of poor breathing control, which continues throughout Kerry's performance, with some words noticably even lengthened in order to compensate for her overall lack of breathing control. I am sure a studio version from Kerry would be much better. Before you rightly state a live version is a much harder job for an artist to deliver, the Celine Dion youtube version I refer to is also live,... and Celine's CD studio version is so perfect, you shall need a box of tissues.
It's ok. She doesn't use her voice, yells, breathing issues and doesn't seem to be in control. It's choppy. I have heard so any better versions over the years, and worse ones as well. Her voice is too harsh for this song in my humble opinion. Give me Andy Williams over any female, any day.
O holy night, The stars are brightly shining; It is the night of Our dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world In sin and error pining, Till He appeared And the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, The weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks A new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night divine, O night, O night divine! Chains shall He break For the slave is our brother And in His name All oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in Grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us Praise His holy name! Christ is the Lord, Then ever, ever praise we Noel, Noel, O night, O night divine Noel, Noel, O night, O night divine O night divine, O night, when Christ was born O night divine, O night, O night divine
One of the finest performances I've heard of this song. The wonderful vocal tone, the perfectly placed inflections, the contrast of volume, and the complementary arrangement result in a beautiful rendition!
Seriously ??? It is indeed, a fine performance, and yes, ... her tone is lovely, but her total lack of controlled breathing is highly noticable. This forces words to be rushed, and thus shortened, in the word's length of delivery, and even forces some words to be drawn out, in order for her to fully exhale the poor breathing she selected in the first place for delivery of a particular line. For example, the very opening line, and thus the first singing of the word "night", is a perfect example of her poor decision as regard the length and the duration of her chosen first inhalation of breath. Admittedly, "live" singing is far more difficult than a studio version, which is invariably recorded a 1000 times until a definitive version is subsequently released. Celine Dion cannot be touched when it comes to this Hymn, though God only knows (no pun intended), why the awful version by Mariah Cary is so loved. If you go onto RU-vid and seek out Celine Dion's "live"performance, (she is wearing a beautiful blue dress or gown, and also singing Live"), you shall change your mind, if being honest to yourself, as to the greatest live performance EVER put out there of this most beautiful of Hymns, if indeed, Hymn is the right term. Celine's fame has come at a cost. Too many people roll their eyes at her always being included in any discussion as to which particular singer sets the bar for a particular song. Simply not her fault for being so talented, and Celine, similar to Lara Fabian or Sir Cliff Richard, is one of the very few artists that, simply by covering a song, indelibly stamp their own authority upon it, even if not necessarily as popular, perhaps, as the original version. Hence I asked you to be honest to yourself, with no anti Celine bias, (and not assuming you dislike her), and check out her version. It shall blow you away, especially when you focus upon her mastery of controlled and measured breathing. Would LOVE to get your opinion on Celine's version. Kind regards.
@@BrianVincent-gz2dq Celine’s version is also among my favorites of this song. I had heard the studio version before but not the live version. I can't decide on a single favorite so I put Celine’s version, Kerrie Roberts' version, Tommee Profitt's production featuring Tauren Wells and SVRCIN (and I'm not really a Tauren Wells fan), MercyMe's version and possibly another that I can't recall at the moment, among my favorites. I'm not a vocal delivery expert so I guess my preferences are based on my emotional response to a performance. And I agree about Mariah Carey's version. Thanks for commenting…
It’s Nov 17th and I’ve been listening to these songs most of the day. As I remember that God has set us here for such a time as this. I feel it’s an honor and a privilege to be alive today, even with the world losing their minds. For I’ve read the Bible and I know that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will soon return to set all in order. Praise His Holy name.
It might just be God and Satan playing games with Humans. God said to Satan, sure, you can throw a world-wide virus on the world and see how the people react.
Yes I totally agree, why it's so hard to find a version done correctly is because the tempo of the lyrics in most are too fast. This is meant to be sung slowly and methodically which this young lady does perfectly
Your voice is so powerful it goes straight to my heart. Thanks so much for all the joys you give with that most beautiful god blessed voice raising us from earth to heaven. You're a real angel Kerrie and a shining STAR for my whole family.🤗🤗🤗Thank you so much from us all. Cassandra,Dominique and Caroline
I return to this performance every year when I am seeking some sign of Jesus in the Christmas season. A grounding place that makes me wonder yet again about that child in a manger and I again accept Him into my heart.
For me, the greatest of all the Christmas carols: O Holy Night... fall on your knees, the saviour has come in the miracle of the Incarnation to save us all! Thanks to the angelic voice of Kerrie!

Its a longing that has finally been sated. The answer to hundreds of years of prophecy. The joy of knowing that sin no longer binds you. Knowing that The Creator wants you so much that he became flesh
For me this is the Nomber One of all Christmas Songs. The words and especially the beautiful melody express and communicate what salvation means, like no other song I know. This is a beautiful version, but there are many others too.
With this Covid-19 lockdown during this Christmas season, all of Christiandom awaits for His birth, to comfort us through this and give us hope...Amen🙏
Am Nigerian,,I kept repeating this song on my speaker,it made feel jealous of having not this beautiful vocals...you rendered this piece beautifully and gracefully 😘😘

@@1ten871 The BEST version by a singer? A Norwegian singing in Swedish. I haven’t found any rendition that better captures the depth of emotion in this timeless masterpiece. Year upon year I am rewarded to hear it again and again. Thank you Kerrie Roberts - my life is enriched.
@carrie Underwood very well thank you. I'm retired by the beach in Thailand and love listening to this at this time of year.kuaten to jussi bjorling and let me know what you think
Every year I look for the perfect version of O Holy Night. I wanted the song to be angelic sounding, not overburdened with runs or vibrato, or orchestrated in a cheesy way. I never found it...until now. Beautifully and well done.
Łukasz Śmigielski I totally agree, I've had such a difficult time finding versions of this song that haven't been butchered by the singer trying to "spice it up". Keep it simple and sing from the heart
Jim Ashton vibrato is natural to some people, so relatively speaking, a song "oversung" (as you and Lukasz Smigielski put it) is also sung from the heart.
I too seek fun versions of "O Holy Night". Mostly I'm looking for the way the verse "fall on your knees" is portrayed. This Ms Kerrie Roberts has done very well in my opinion.
O holy Kerrie...........so beautifully sang !! I , a professional jazz trumpeter myself, I am wishing you a beautiful and holy life. Your version of this song is the best of the best.
When Kerrie stands up (2:40 and 2:52), hang on to your chair -- she's readying herself to take you up into glory-land. God has blessed her with a beautiful voice / instrument to honor Him with. Well done! Moving praise!
An Angelic performance! I am still listening to this a dozen times a day 6 days later! Ms Paladino has produced the most remarkable rendition ever created. Her grace and beauty are nothing short of Divine itself! She is a treasure not only in Australia but across the world. 🌅
First time I heard this song was in a traffic jam..after the song ended so did my anger and frustration..I prayed and thanked God for placing me in that traffic jam..beautiful song..
Almost makes me wish I was a Christian. But, I do love Jesus and the fact he was on the planet to teach people a different way of living and believing. He has changed countless lives and all of human history! Great rendition of this great song. Peace on Earth . . . and especially in your own minds.
@@adafranken2290 God loves you. Please, don t forget this. He is saviour, master and friend. Wonderful person. He is good. I healed from deathly sick, give many gift from the Lord.
People funny you say God is all loving and forgiving but then say if someone doesn't believe in him you will but it will be too late Dont think God cares about someone believing as long as they are good person Any God that would hold that against someone isn't a God to love and praise
@@hooperdavid1980 You should probably review the Scriptures. There is none "good" except for God. Who can demand entrance to a King's house because they claim to be a "good" person? Did you get the invitation? How did you treat the Son of the King?

This is the most soulful contemporary rendition of a classic. Kerrie Roberts really does shines through with pure talent In the most beloved Christmas Songs Ever, she's really does have such an voice of an angel, God truly does make Angels.
@carrie Underwood Ok, i have just listened to your version of O holy night and ye maybe Kerrie Roberts is the second best, yours was great. All the best from the UK🤗😚

@@susiecreamcheese5830 a lot of singers just like when they sing the U.S national anthem and various other songs tend to 'drag' a particular line out too far, as in they sing it too long and add to much too it instead of adding power and simplicity to it. Lady gaga, Mariah Carey, beyonce and a few others are very guilty of ruining songs regardless of how good their voices are simply by adding too much to it.
@@tomasgeorge6150 I didn’t even remember this and then I read my comment. I was appalled at how rude I had been, so I deleted my comment. Thank you for your response.
What a gift this beautiful young woman has in her voice. I'm always completely overwhelmed with emotion when I hear her sing this song! An absolute masterpiece of music.
Without question, this IS the best version of this song I have ever heard. From the beautifully haunting melody to her restrained vocal that lets the song and message shine through. Too often people use this song to show off their vocal skills making it about their abilities and not the song.
As a piano player, who plays this every year in church, I totally agree with this person‘s comment. The challenge is to repaint this great song without overdoing it and without showing off, this young lady does a magnificent job
Every sec I listened I whished the sec was 10 seconds longer... What a beautiful voice!!! God is great in what He does in people. God is great in what He does in Kerrie. Really love it!!
I already watched and listen to so many "Oh Holy Night" songs. But this one is the best I've ever heard. Others simply overdo it. It's not how high the voice/note. It's how you delivered the song. Kerrie Roberts delivered it perfectly.
There’s something truly phenomenal about this song. It’s not a song that you just listen to - it’s a song that happens to you. The power of the music, lyrics and performance are like a punch to the chest that commands your attention and leaves you sort of stunned and quietly taking it in. It’s fitting that it took a Christian artist to understand the significance and sing it so masterfully.
