This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!

For everyone confused about the lack of damage, Kerrigan has a passive that reduces all attacks to 6. That's why the banshees were more effective - they fire in volleys.

Also why one of the best way to get rid of her during campaign is sending a bunch of marine. With micro, she can't kill many with her cloud, her oneshot ability is kinda useless, and they get their normal dps.

I knew the banshees would win because a squadron of dusks wings with regular banshee support is exactly how I usually kill get in All In lol. Also loved the gauntlet of devil dogs, it reminded me of the Avengers trying to rip the gauntlet off Thanos arm. Lots of power and coordination, but Kerrigan is inevitable

Kerrigan comes with two hidden passives, a hardened shell effect and a half spell damage buff. That's why siege tanks are worthless against her.

Remember WoL Immortals? They had a passive called "Hardened Shield", it reduced all shield damage to a maximum of 10 per attack. Why am I telling you this? Well, Kerrigan has a hidden "Hardened Shield" but instead of reducing the incoming damage to a maximum of 10, it reduces it to 6. On top of that all spell damage is reduced by 75% and since she does not have a shield then the hidden stat applies to her normal health. What does it all mean? The easiest way to kill Kerrigan is low damage, high attack speed units.

WoL Kerrigan has two hidden passives. The first is a hardened shell effect, that puts a hard cap on maximum damage taken from attacks. The second is a spellshield that halves incoming spell damage. Large artillery becomes worthless against her, yamato canons and snipe deal half damage. That's why on all-in, infantry is the way to go. Well she also has razor swarm but you get my meaning

Jackson's revenge squadrons are old-fashioned ships in Battle Cruiser, but they are made up of powerful modifications, and Carrigan's ability to destroy all five Jackson squadrons means that the Terran battleship is virtually useless.

Yea. As I recall, that version has a damage cap per hit of I think 12? So banshees lose next to no damage against her. Where as a siege tank struggles to injure. Exception where she take 1/2 spell damage, as opposed to a cap. Hence why ghost snipe spam is good vs her

Sort of. Dusk Wings are a LOT less vulnerable to razor swarm bc of their increased HP, also when you control a big cloud of banshees they tend to clump up so RS is bad news. But yes if you can bait out the first couple RS banshees absolutely destroy her very quickly. I think mass banshee is one of the best picks for ground All In bc they can easily keep snipping the nydus too

@@TheMuffinman191 Honestly, against kerrigan, ghosts are really great, because of rapidfire snipes, which guarantess a super fast kill. Otherwise banshees are pretty useful to lighten the load on your defenses at home, though overbuilding them probably isn't the best idea.

@@andre-8420 I use banshees vs the nydus, tanks to hold the line behind Planetary Fortresses, then have a set of ghosts up by the artifact to spam snipe at kerrigan. In theory banshees can be good vs kerrigan too, but I often lose quite a few of them to her, and they are my only good answer for the nydus worms, so I protect them a bit more. Ghosts can drop to Razor Swarm too, but if you have a building cluster draw it, they're safe, at least for the next few seconds

She has a hardened shield type ability hidden in her stats. I believe she drops all damage taken to a max of 6 and spells reduced by 75%. Rapid fire or multi-hit are the only ways to effectively damage her but, of course, razor swarm.

Yeah, as the others pointed out, she nearly takes no damage. That's why rapid fire snipe is so strong against her, as it's a lot of shots at the same time which effectivly bypasses that protection.

@@durshurrikun150 also primal get shields as she deals damage, so each time she cast the jump it should be 300x0.25 = 75 dmg and shields, on top of her regular attacks doing 10 dmg whit a very high attack speed, that last part depends on the version, and if it is coop, on the lvl 15 bonuses, as she can even improve her spell damage and at least make them do 50% more dmg, im not sure if it goes up to a 100% extra dmg

62.5, the cost is rounded to integers. Mercenaries are a Wings of Liberty campaign features and they are hired in squads of various sizes. A Spartan Company squad has two goliaths and costs 125 gas.
