What is the purpose of the fall? I can’t find any sources that explain its function.

I think maybe the popularity issue could be the way the breed is talked about in online resources. You describe them as having amazing temperament, but Wikipedia describes them as “stubborn and borderline psychopathic”, and WebMD says they are “high-spirited and strong-willed…not a good match for every home”. While that is probably true of a lot of dogs, I think people might see that kind of message in a few places and choose another breed?

Hi Suzanne! I am always been fascinated from that breed but always thought is a watch dog not so good with other people and other dogs.. isn’t?

The Kerry is an amazing all purpose farm dog. I had one in my house for a span of 30 years. Mine were great with children and dogs. My male Kerry lived with 4 other males in the house. 2 were not neutered. They were sought after dogs for families who had Down syndrome children in NYC according to one social worker/ Kerry enthusiast . I personally adore the Breed.

LOVE your rapport with terriers. I’m a rank amateur who’s been grooming my scotties/cairns and a border terrier for 40 years and your videos are SO helpful! I’m not very talented but I love the 1:1 time with each dog. We are hoping to find a Kerry pup sometime in the next year to join our pair of Scottie’s, so I am watching every RU-vid video I can find on the breed. Your grooming tutorial is just the best! Thank you.
