As part of Kerry County Councils 2020 Street Spectacle Project, artist Caoimhe Dunn worked with schools and community groups in Tralee to create "St. Patrick & the Curlew". Featured in this video are workshops with the students at Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí.
The School's piece would come together, with work from 4 other groups to create a bigger spectacle for Tralee's St. Patrick's Day Parade 2020, to be accompanied by music from Drum Dance Ireland.

Due to the ongoing corona-virus pandemic the parade was cancelled and workshops could not take place - unfortunately we were unable to film the final workshops at all the schools and community groups.
Hopefully the participants will have a chance to complete their work at a later date!

This project is part of Kerry County Councils Street Spectacle training and engagement project, part of the Creative Ireland Kerry Activation plan, under the theme of nurturing the creative sector and fostering cultural innovation.
