Love the Culpepper knife. I’ve got the special copper slipjoint version. That knife is excellent all around EDC. Would like to add the Micarta handled version to my collection, too.
Those are good knives. I gave mine to my son, and I need to get another one. Got no idea for a contest, but I like Jason's idea though. Stay well John.
I just bought the Culpepper on my trip up the canal at Quimper Outfitters. I have been carrying it ever since. I have many high end knives, but this one just fits and performs. After putting a mirror edge on the blade, I’ve have just stropped it. Can’t beat the price. 🎸🔪
Hey John, thanks for the look at the knife. Im thinking about checking out with one the next time I place an order at KnifeCenter. Id like to point out that the covers are actually G10 not micarta according to the Kershaw website. I know there has been some confusion about it though so I dont fault you for it.
as far as a contest for the giveaway, how about some trivia? who ever comes up with the best answer to whatever question you come up with wins. "what year was Kershaw founded?" "who made the first barlow pattern folding knife?" etc...
I can understand why people want to specifically buy American made or avoid Chinese made knifes, but there are some really good knives (and other products) coming out of China these days. I have a Chinese made Kershaw Iridium that I paid < $50 and it has the smoothest action I've ever felt on a knife. Unfortunately, there are also some companies who are able to get away with making crap just because they put a "Made in USA" label on it. Japan is one country that I feel is extremely reliably for getting a quality made knife or tool these days.
This knife is beautiful ❤️ reminds me of my childhood Barlow that I carried up until a few months ago when I had my accident. The paramedic cut my pay legs off. In doing so lost my childhood knife. 😢 So how about a camping, hunting and or story about when and how you got your first knife. I got mine, when I was 8. PeePaw gave it to me up on the Devil's WoodPile in Eastern Washington as a Birthday present. I used it to pick King Bolete mushrooms.
There really is something special about a single blade traditional folder isn't there. The Appalachian drifter is another model that just screams fantastic all-rounder to me. Are you still going to do the the bushcraft knife photo contest? I have been trying to decide which knife I would like to enter.
@@josephmarchitelli8138 yes I am, got the prize package sitting aside for it. I’ve been working doubles and not much time fore the channel. Should be back to normal by next week though.
