In this session, I have discussed the most celebrated and a landmark judgment of the Supreme Court which is Kesavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala (1973) delivered by a bench of 13 judges of the Supreme Court. We will also discuss the judgments and amendments which led to passing of this judgment, and why was there a need for such a large bench.
Argued for a record 68 long days in the Supreme Court, this judgment is credited to have saved the democratic setup in India by providing a very important check on the powers of the Government. April 24, 1973 was a historic day for India as this judgment was delivered and Sachin Tendulkar was born.

Article 368 give us right to amendment in fundamental rights but you can't change the basic structure and also basic structure defination isn't given by the supreme court.

11 is the right answer. 13 judges bench has been there only in 1 case i.e., Kesavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala.
