I don't understand why some religious people are mad. I'm Christian and I think the message and song is absolutely beautiful!

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point, this isn't about religion, this is about Kesha finding her way and acknowledging the fact she felt like an outcast and explaining that being an outcast is what makes us who we are, it's a song of empowerment.

guys, as a christian myself... i ask for everyone to be respectful to each other. If you believe or not in God is your business, so can we try not to force beliefs on each other? i don't even think this song is referring to an actual religion. I think the meaning for "religion" in this song is referring to a specific way of living... and she's talking about living life your own way, the way you want it to be. Even if not everyone agrees on that certain way of living, you remember it's not their way, it's yours. And there are people like you all around the world who can relate.
