Video clips from a performance of the Kechak, Trance Dance and Fire Dance at the Bale Banjar Pandangtegal Kaja dance stage on on Jalan Hanoman Street in Ubud, Bali. It was presented by the Trena Jenggala Troupe, with performances held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 PM. The video was shot during a stay in Bali back in December of 2007. As the lighting in the open-air 'bale' pavilion was dim, the video is rather dark but does capture the distinctive choral singing that accompanies the dances to give one a feel for the experience of attending a performance. Taking in a Legong dance performance at Ubud Palace would also be highly-recommended during your stay in Ubud.
