Kethis the Hidden Hand Commander Deck Tech 

Props on putting the effort into saying Untaidake correctly. I shudder to think what Saffron Olive would have called it.

I cant wait to build a pure legendary deck and get my butt kicked.

I had built Abzan legendary tribal with Ikra and Tymna just a few months ago. So naturally I was excited seeing this commander.

This is such a cool commander! I've been waiting for a cheap costsed, interesting Abzan commander! Karador is exactly what this reminds me of, except it works so differently aside from the self mill! Karador was my first commander speaking of Karador. Also again, I love this music! What is it?!

When I saw this commander three words came to mind. Kamahls Druidic Vow

Did anyone but me notice the synergy with Kethis, The Hidden Hand And Hope of Ghirapur?

Really want to see this helm a super-friends deck.

HEROES PODIUM! Seriously, this is such a fun card and this is one of the few decks where it becomes good. It's just a one sided coat of arms for all your legendaries.

Ugin with karn is also a fun interaction. Ugin exiles the top card as a spirit token, sacrifice it to interact with lilianna dreadhoard general. Exile a milled or needed artifact creature like traxos to play other cards from the graveyard then karn them back...pretty fun archetype. Lifegain is an issue with this deck due to the high cmc leaving you somewhat vulnerable. Ajanis welcome with impassioned orator ajani the greathearted and campaign of vengence help alot.

One of the first things I thought of with this is the synergy between legendary artifacts you can exile to his ability, and Karn The Great Creator, who's -2 can just get them back out of exile one at a time.

This deck actually looks super sick, I might build it!

Personally I'm burned out on Legend matters cards at the moment. Maybe I'll come back to build this guy later. Always enjoy the vids!

I think the most flavorful way to do the Kethis deck is to have him as your "hidden commander" in the 98 of a 4-color partner deck. That way you'll also have the option to exile your commanders (or one of them alongside Squee if you're playing WBRG) to activate Kethis' ability.

Both Tolsimirs should be auto-include in this strategy, especially the original one. Being able to get repeatable value off saccing a token that is itself legendary is awesome.

Stax fits him the best. Both Thalias, Kataki, War's Wage, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Gaddock Teeg, Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist and many other become cheap stax creatures. Lock out the entire table with your stax legendary creatures, no one gets to play, then just draw a combo and win.

I feel like using garruk wildspeaker as an example as high cost in planeswalkers is rather odd. For one if you already have kethis in the field he’s a three drop and with his +1 untapping two lands he’s essentially a one drop. And if you want to go further if you have another cost reducer like jhoira’s familiar then he’s basically free

I went the superfriends route, I always wanted to build one but most the walkers in blue make the game unfun. I do like how many ways people can build this deck though.

So. With his second ability. Say opponent plays removal on kethis. In response can you activate his ability. Choose to send him to the grave and cast for abzan again since it's "until end of turn"?

Using the exile ability of Kethis is a nonbo with Primeval's Glorious Rebirth. Almost to the point where a deck should play one or the other. If you use a five color commander for your legendaries-tribal deck you can include Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain and all the artifact ramp you want to make her trigger on just about every spell in the deck. Also if your creatures are good enough, your opponent will have to put them in the grave from play for you or they will lose. Then non-legendary self-mill isn't needed. And with enough ramp Kamahl's Druidic Vow is just fine. My 5c legends tribal deck that is fairly tuned and has some pretty good WGB creatures is at tappedout.net/mtg-decks/progenitus-and-his-legendary-freinds-1/ That list probably should include God-Eternal Oketra too. And if you built 5c around Sisay, Weatherlight Captain instead of Progenitus, then God-Eternal Rhonas and/or the Rhonas the Indomitable can up her power besides being a good legend good by itself.

Kethis is cool, but I really only want a copy so I can shove him into my Sisay deck.

Kamals drudic vow is so over powered, being able to play it from your graveyard is so bonkers

I built this exact deck with partner commanders a couple months ago. Two weeks later, I disassembled it. The deck is too slow, too reliant on the combat step, and too vulnerable to disruption and board wipes. I even played a more efficient/aggro version than the one proposed here, and it still wasn't good enough. By the time you're getting the magical Christmas land of recursion, card draw, tutoring, board mass, etc., you could have just won the game with a better commander. The juice is not worth the squeeze and I don't think Kethis changes that.

As a fanatical karador player, I am very skeptical. The amount of recursion I have in that deck more than makes up for the restrictions.

Awesome deck brainstorming. Just wanted to say Primeval Glorious Rebirth is all legendary permanents. Not just creatures. It seems stupid busted here. My vote for cool pairing is Marwyn, and all the legendary elves. Horrible addendum. Your lack of Mindslaver is disturbing.
