Mark‘s instruction and verbal descriptions are spot on. He is also a humble man and there is no bullshit with him. He is my go-to trainer. Even if you dont use the heavy weights just adhering to the descriptions and moves is a pathway to proper kettlebell use. I can swing a 16kg but prefer to finesse my ski8lls with a lighter weight till I‘ve got the form.

Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. ru-vid.comUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.

I had been taught a one handed version of the 'side rock-it'. I never really 'got it'. I chanced upon your front rock-it video not realizing there was such a version. It showed me how to fix what I was doing. Then I thought to check to see if you showed a 'side' version too. Thank you.

Mark, when you’re older and want to do less strenuous work, you should develop a body mechanics training program for hospitals and college nursing programs. The training we get on how to protect our backs and knees is horrible (it’s a PowerPoint presentation). One would think our rather large physical rehab program would do some training for staff but that doesn’t generate revenue.

This is one of my favorite moves. I have glut medius dysfunction on one side, which causes issues with si joint and hip. I've tried Pilates hip series, which is good for warm-up/mobility, BUT this move targets my gluts and quads at the same time. So, so good. If you have a job where you sit a lot (I currently do, and I hate it), this move is perfection.

Hey so I'm taking notes for the training program that I want to build for myself. From what I have watched you value weighted mace and club with kettle bell as paramount exercises for a good workout program. You had a series "the basic human" That was describing what your system of values were, but you never got through the list of things a basic human should be able to do in your series. I did a cursory look into your video catalog and could only find videos that described Walking, Running, Fighting and Jumping. I was really interested in seeing you thoughts about the six other default human abilites that you described in your intro (Swimming, Throwing, Climbing, Lifting, Balancing, and Quadrupedal movement.) If somebody could point me to the right videos it would be much appreciated, if they are there.

Hi Mark! I really appreciate your content. It's very helpfull! Got myself a 16 kg kettlebell not long ago. I started practicing the basic exercises but it seems the 16kg is slightly to heavy. Two-handed exercises are going well, but i struggle with clean, press and get-up. Didn't even try snatch. So the question is can i build enough strength with two-handed exercises to eventually transition to the one-handed ones without having to buy a lighter kettlebell, which i can hardly affort right now and wouldn't be of much use pretty soon. Because the 16kg doesn't feel to much to heavy. I can do some cleans, just not very many and not executed in the best way.

Hey Mark! I could use a pointer if you dont mind untill you release the workouts. I recently got my hands on a 8kg clubbell which is a humbling experience. Im trying to figure out how to incoporate it in my single arm club days. Im doing 10 sets of 5 inside-/ outside circles, shieldcast and 180 degreee rotating pullover. I swing continously alternating arm every set. In the end its 400 swings. Is this a good starting point for clubbells? Its really kicking my arm ass.

what kind of an effect will the flexibility will this have for someone who has had major lower back surgery? I have very limited low back flexibility. I understand having a low weight to do the exercise will be best, but I am not sure if my flexibility will allow me to fully do the movement. I have a fused L6 and L5- yes I have/had a L6. Had them fused with other things. I have lost a few flexing/mobility in some things that I use to do. I can do ALL the stretches in the world, they will not help me. Thank you for your response. I appreciate what you share here on your RU-vid channel. :)

this would def be one. inside pendulums, outside pendulums, alternating pendulums both single and double hand, both kb and club. tons of clean and press and flat back no momentum deck squats. mills and reverse mills. kneeling and rock bottom cable pulls, probably towel gip. then probably pull-ups, a symmetric pull-ups.

I’m a bit late to this video but I realized that when I direct my feet straight ahead my knees tend to cave inwards, so in order for them to point straight down and up during the motion I have to slightly rotate my feet outwards. What is the reason for this, can it be fixed? Should I refrain from this movement alltogether? Edit: I do however feel as though when I try to make my feet arch more when they’re straighted ahead the problem seems to go away. Does this mean it’s a flat-foot issue?

So this is the very first MW video I ever watched... Came up in my feed and gave it a twirl. So I'm not sure when you say "it's the worst" you really mean it's the best.... I'll get to know you ;) lol So I gave this rock it a shot. Before getting the hang of it I realized I had to engage the lats more. This is the only thing I did differently/added in place of traditional front to back swing.....and I feel like my upper back needs to Crack! Lol maybe it's related, maybe not.... Just curious if anyone else experienced this. Small weight 20# otherwise I'm a technical mad woman! So I think I got the girl down otherwise! ✌️👊//VT
