Love those types of rocky bouldery descents, there's a lot like that on the Moors behind Guisborough where you just gotta get low, stay loose and let the bike do its thing and move around underneath you while you hold on for dear life, favourite type of descent for sure!
Given the wind on that day you've done really well with the audio as we could still here your great commentary without that horrible wind noise (After almost 2yrs of videoing I'm still working on it 😁😁) . Looking forward to 2023 rides 👍
@@TrailFinder I've been doing a lot of research recently and have had them sat in my basket for a good few weeks now but keep holding back on the 'go to checkout' option 😁.
Ha HA. that's funny mate. yeah hike a bike is a killer. but some of the best trails are from a bike carry. I was pretty good at it last year. I got up grizedale pike in one go. struggled to get up this little climb though!!
Think I mentioned before that I'd ridden up there (so long ago I had a cube LTD XC hardtail, must have been at least 8 years ago). Family holiday but set off early for a ride. I'd planned on doing the full "Kettlewell Killer" from the pedalnorth website. That proved how tough some of the climbs were as I ended up not doing the final section, which is basically this in reverse. Not liking unfinished business, a couple of days later I did it. Looking at the video I reckon this way looks better. As you said, only 6 miles but from experience, bloody tough climbs. Still, no need for an ebike. PS literally 10 yards before where you started recording is where we stayed. Loved Kettlewell....ought to go back at some point. Great video Andy 👍
Thanks mate. yeah Kettlewell and surrounding area is a lovely part of the Yorkshire dales. but brutal on a bike. bit far for you to go for a 6 mile ride. but if you are in the area its worth a go
The FULL Moor End descent is an absolute belter.. starts at w3w ///admiral.inspected.capers Can do it via Buckden - Birks Fell, then along the ridge path and down to Kettlewell.. makes an awesome evening ride in summer!
