Ketu Shows the karmas we are turning away from in this lifetime, because in recent past lives we developed those things to a very high degree.
As such, many of the early childhood circumstances in this lifetime can be seen from Ketu.
Think about everything that was forced on you, in this lifetime, that you didn't choose.
The truth is, everything about this lifetime, related to your birth, your family, your species, your gender, your name, were all forced on you. Meaning, you didn't choose any of it. You should be very clear about this concept, because many in the new age are not very clear about this. We play a lot of euphemistic games around “my soul chose this thing”. Maybe your soul chose it, but you, the person who is reading this, and who chooses things like what to eat and what to do, did not choose it. All of these things were done without your choice.
As such, there is a burden to the things of Ketu, and a feeling that we are finished with those things, because they were forced on us. Whereas the opposite end of the node, rahu, are all the things you choose enthusiastically. You choose those things, because they are aspects of your nature that you have not spent a lot of time on in your recent past lives.
Eventually, we are trying to reconcile the opposites of the North and South node.
