I LOVE these videos. Growing up in Omaha in the 70s and 80s, this is a trip down memory lane. I started working in TV in 1990 and Don Novak was my first chief meteorologist at WOI-TV in Ames/Des Moines.

I miss good old Omaha. Lived there when I was a kid. In the sports part of this segment: THE Cal vs. Stanford play when the Cal upset Stanford with all those laterals, finishing by running through part of Stanford's band. Holy cats!!!

It appears (evident at 32:07) KETV had shot the photos of their news team that would later end up in the opens using the KSNW music a year later.

Ross Jernstrom is so young here. His face may have changed over the years due to age, but his voice hasn't.

I'm very doubtful that Don Novak was related to Dick Novak, the old announcer on KATU in Portland.
