@@tracynewman3256 Many (many) years ago, I wrote a paper on Kevin Barry for history class in the 7th or 8th grade Imagine my surprise when I presented it and my history teacher had never heard of him. (Early 70's, South Carolina.) btw... I'm fairly sure you know... there's another channel on YT that uploaded 41 of your videos from "What's New" back in Feb... A LOT of songs you don't have here. They are getting very few views, I don't think anyone knows the channel exists. I spent several hours last night watching all of the ones I hadn't seen here on your channel. I was blown away by "A Horse Named Bill." (It reminded me of the folk stuff Johnny Cash was doing during the same period) And loved "Rock Island Line, and all of the others. I was wondering why you don't upload these onto your channel? I've noticed you said before that you hadn't used the video that had glitches etc, but it all looked fine to me.... I hate seeing those videos sitting neglected with 20 views when I know if you uploaded them to your channel, the views would be in the thousands, and your fans would be crazy excited to see them. @@tracynewman3256 He is mentioned in just about every book of the period but seldom detail. An Australian academic has written a paper on it "Kevin Barry the incident at Monks Bakery and the making of an Irish Republican legend" youtube will not allow me post a link and at one time you could read it free of charge but I think now you have to pay for it.
Kevin Barry was given a state funeral by the government of the Irish Republic ........a soldier patriot forever a hero to the people of Ireland....he fought the British god bless you Kevin Barry.🇮🇪
@@stephenwhelan9545 yes and when his remains were exhumed they said prayers for his victims a gesture to the fact that two of them were boys younger than himself. If you're interested you can find an interview with some of his brave comrades from the 1960s on youtube. They said the whole thing was a mess from start to finish
