Yeah, you should definitely do more of these, they really are great, especially for reactions! XD And as far as guests go, there are two teams plus the presenter. The two team captains are David Mitchel (detective guy) and Lee Mack, they're permanent. The presenter is Rob Brydon, also permanent. Then each team has two guests each, every episode. Some of the most popular guests have done multiple episodes but for the most part, it's 4 different people each episode!

Lee Mack and David Mitchell are always on, they are the 'Captains', their teammates change week to week, but often you get repeat visits as there aren't that many comedians of that standing.

I'm sure others have said it but I couldn't see it in the top 10ish comments. The way panel shows work in the UK is that there is a host, 2 team captains and then the other people switch out on their teams. So some shows have 1 host, 2 team captains and then 4 guests (2 guests per team) and others have 2 guests (1 guest per team). I'm so glad you love it!

On these shows whoever's in the middle (so in this case Lee Mac and David Mitchell aka the detective 😅) are the team captains. They're on every week with 2 new team members.

'Theft and Shrubbery' is a great Bob Mortimer clip from the show. There's something brilliant about the way the guy tells his stories - he always adds in these stupid nonsensical details to throw off the other team. If I had to compare him to a US comic it would probably be Norm Macdonald - always reeling off these ridiculous long winded anecdotes - though I think that Mortimer is a lot more genuine and much funnier. Naturally funnier than pretty much any other comedian out there, imo

To answer your question about the guests, there's two main hosts on each panel, David Mitchell (the guy you called the detective) and Lee Mack on the other panel, and the guests are pretty much always different, but they'll usually bring some people back for other episodes (Bob Mortimer being in a few episodes, due to his insane stories) Loved watching your reaction to this, I went down a rabbit hole just watching every clip on RU-vid when I discovered it, keep it up guys, always look forward to your reactions!

David Mitchell is a comedic actor and writer, he co wrote and starred in sitcom Peep show, which is worth checking out, also, Rob Bryden is in show with Steve Coogan called The Trip, it's quite brilliant and original.

You guys are always so warm and receptive, genuinely a pleasure to see you introduced to our comedy scene. In the UK panel shows like this are pretty common, they've become a route for comedians to gain an audience, a bit like late night in the US. As others are saying. The king of this show is probably Bob Mortimer who has been a big name in the UK since his original pannel show shooting stars (definitely worth watching but you might need to watch a whole episode because any clips will make absolutely no sense! Also James acaster, Greg Davies and Henning wein are great on this show! David (the detective) and Lee are team captains with Rob as the host, everyone else changes every episode. This and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown are great casual comedy. Wow this comment got long... Sorry

Seen KB live and asked during a question/session asked him when he last bought a horse and he had to explain it to the audience that hadn't watched it. This was some of the best TV ever and David Mitchell was brilliant.

WILTY is a brilliant comedy panel show , easily the best . Obviously It relies on the quality of the guests and Kevin is always very funny . The 2 Captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell bounce of each other superbly , David the posh Cambridge educated type and Lee the working class comic . The host Rob Brydon is perfect too and the genuine joy they all have doing the show is obvious . As others have said the No 1 guest is undoubtedly Bob Mortimer , a guy with more weird stories than just about anyone and a hilarious way of telling them !
