Ohhh boy. I'm doing a dry 2022 -- Kev's bit hits home hard. I used to be a very heavy drinker. Not gonna miss those hangovers. Couldn't even call them hangovers anymore, more like 3 days of intensely concentrating on breathing normally and completely fucked, sleepless and twitchy nights.

Having lived in the Mid-Atlantic US states, I put on the captions, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Oh, I missed EVERYTHING. After "Beef Wellington", the captions just read "[MUSIC]" And so it was, and so it is. LET US SING THE SONG OF OUR PEOPLE!

I'm about 30 or 31, and my hangovers last like 12 hours per litre of vodka, or about 15 half-litres of beer. But for those 12 hours I'm fucking useless... For the first hour after I wake up I can barely watch TV and keep my eyes open at the same time, then after 12 hours I'm out driving and listening to Motorhead and go back home and maybe drink more... It should be said that I have taken some quite hard amounts of painkillers in my days (for pain mostly), so I guess my liver is slightly fucked up and also my threshold of pain is pretty high.

Wait until you get to 50+

Then you hit 50 and you can drink like a fish 🐟

Only the weak drinker's get the blues ...the real deal alcoholics who crave the the thrill of inebriation do not suffer the morning problems ...we just look forward to drinking time again...

They need to let people over 35 have dexedrine for hangovers, limit it to two though.

You are right… drinking is very rarely worth the crushing hangovers after your hit 30. At least two day hangovers, absolutely depressing in wishing the day away.
